Motor does not work. I burned out ESC. With another ESC motor just try to turn. After few seconds motor smoking. I tried change timing and also smooth start but without success. Completely wrong! They do not have output quality process in a factory?

I like this motor (and its smaller cousin the T1811-2000). Have been doing some static bench tests and here's some info so far. Hope it's useful to others:

prop:Amps:Volts:Watts:Thrust(grams)
7x3.5:2.7:7.76:20.9:133
7x6:3.5:7.57:25.7:119
7x6:4.x:7.x:?:140 <- (put it here real quick to see thrust, but didn't keep it long enough to see other numbers as I didn't want to risk over current. After a few seconds at this amperage the motor was very very slightly warm to the touch)

Of the limited set of props I tested I'm going with the 7x3.5 as it keeps the amps down and, hence, flight times should be longer. I'm targeting a 3D foamie for this that has a AUW of around 93 - 105 grams.

Thanks.

I bought two of these for the tail of my cp heli. After installing the first one, i found that the set screws at the base did not properly fit in the holes. The second one was fine, so i guess i have one for spare parts. Works good, i'm gunna try the 2300kv next. Yes, i will buy two (just in case).

I got a love/hate with these motors. I've bought 4 so far and use them exclusively in the Bonsai wing where they work great on a 2s 860ma Zippy with a 6amp Plush speedy. Flight times are well over 20 mins and gentle flying gets me to about 40 mins . With this setup, everything is almost cold to touch at end of flight. Won't quite hover though, but I reckon 3s would do it easy.

Here's the bad. The wires coming out of the motor are simply the ends of the windings which are twisted together. There is no support for the wires and since the windings are solid core (1 strand only), they cannot handle much flexing before they break. They're a real @ to solder back in place as they tend to break off at the base leaving almost no wire to work with. As I'm using these on Bonsai wings, there's not much protection and after a while, they will all fail unless you take some "Anti-Wire Flexing" actions to keep them safe.

Working with the Plush 6A ESC, they tend to work great when they're brand new, but after a week or so, they start cogging at start up. This seems to be motor related because if I connect another motor - no cogging. Mind you, sometimes they cog from brand new too. I suspect it's to do with resistance build up from flexing. I'm going to persist with these motors as I really like them when working well and will make more mods to make them reliable. Todays mod will b
