I took a chance on this motor from the specs. Turned out great. I was able to change the shaft for a rear mount assembly. With a 41 oz. scratch built low wing plane, I am getting 270 watts of power with an 8 x 7 prop on 3 cells. Flight times exceed 7 minutes, but could go longer; I don't like to push motors/batteries to their limits.

With a propeller of 262 X 150 mm, with a voltage of 11.4 V and a current consumption of 30 A, the thrust is 1.5 kg.

These are good little motors for their size and price. I got two of them for a twin that I built. The motor shaft needed swapped so that I could mount them from the rear, but I have done that many times before so I went ahead and got these. The alan screws were so tight, and the hex head was so tiny that not even heating the bell around the screw could loosen them AT ALL. The heads just stripped. I ended up drilling them out, tapping the pin out and redrilling and tapping new screws into the bell. it was not a quick or easy process. Luckily everything stayed strait and the motors work really well now. But if you need to swap the shaft....beware

I got this motor for my Multiplex Fun Cub after bending the casing on another another motor when I reversed it.
This motor arrived wih abent shaft. I could tell before I put the prop on by the fuzzy appearance whn running and then by feelng the vibration.

Ordentlicher und leistungsfhiger Motor. Zieht meine Pitts mit 1,5 Kilo bei

knapp 30 Amp. mit 10x6 Luftschraube an 3S zuegig in den Himmel. Die Glocke zeigt optisch eine minimale Unwucht, die Vibrationen halten sich aber in tolerierbaren Grenzen. Aber Achtung: Mein Motor war fehlerhaft montiert.

Die Welle war nicht weit genug durch die Motorglocke geschoben, so dass die Madenschraube, die als Verdrehsicherung in der Glocke sitzt, nicht auf der angeschliffenen Phase der Welle zu liegen kam. Da die Madenschraube nicht gesichert war hat sich beim 10. Flug die Welle samt Propeller nach vorne verabschiedet. Also vorsichtshalber kontrollieren.

Very good product. My place is fast enough with this motor. Maybe someone know what is replacement shaft for this motor? Has this shart hobyking? I was looking for it but I dont know which one will fit...
