I have over the time used about >20 of these in different applications, ranging from powering my R/C plane receivers to powering the USB smart phone charging socket retrofitted in my car to powering the navigation display in my full size plane. None has ever failed. They are small and live up to the specs (3A), while providing a reasonably ripple free voltage that does not interfere with any of the radios involved, be it 35MHz, 118KHz or 2.4GHz. Great product! It's a pity they are on backorder for months now, else I had already ordered another 10 or so.
Be aware there are cheap replicas out threre on ebay and elswhere! Due to lack of originals, these cheapo fakes are starting to show up in regular shops, and since some fakes are of a pretty poor quality, they harm the reputation of the original! Hobbyking, do something about it, have a new batch originals made ASAP!

Watch out, this thing still drains the power even after your on/off switch is off !! I've lost 2 batteries before understanding what was wrong. So you must unplug the ubec or your batteries after use.
I've installed this Ubec on my radio transmitter to get a constant 6v from 2s lipo but unfortunately all my lipo died (under 2v each cell) after a few weeks of NON use. The ubec was pluged between the lipo and the power switch.

Great little UBEC. I like that you can pick the input voltage. Light weight and relatively small in size. Used this in both 2s and 3s powered planes. Always use a UBEC in all my planes. Lost one model to a low voltage brown out. Great price also. Wires are long enough for all connections, which is always nice.

Mine was dead on arrival so I never got to find out if it actually worked nicely.
The quality control is apparently non existent, so I would suggest you order a couple to increase the chances for getting that does work.
I love the low weight and small size of the product though.

A small price BEC with low noise, I use it on my XJ470 multicopter for the lighting.

No EMC troubles with it.
