Very bad radio. Frequently the gas channel goes to minimum. Very difficult binding procedure. Save your money and purchase another brand

I have one and bought another for a friend. Luckily when I bought my first, I bought an extra Rx as second system Rx was DOA. No LED lit up when powered up but Tx was fine once I used my spare one. Out of interest, first system delivered already had Rx bound, so seemed like must have been tested but second unit couldn't have been tested as was DEAD.

Warranty system SUCKS as is very confusing and buyer has to pay for return freight. I TRIED ONLINE SERVICE SYSTEM and was very slow and after an hour! no resolution and it clicked me offline .... NOT IMPRESSED.

Great cheap radio when it works but now I can't recommend as the quality control is not good enough.

Will be interesting to see how Warranty system works now I have sent back Rx only, not full system.

I have a Mode 1. Takes 4 x LSD 2500 CELLS but tight (these cells are too big (fat) for some equipment.

If I switch on with throttle anywhere bar minimum, i get THRO STICK warning. Move to zero and mine disapoears. Same with THRO HOLD switch off right hand top switch and it goes. I make sure both top corner switches are off (away from top) and throttle at zero before turning on and no warning buzzer. Note to stop switches I switch off switches then restart Tx, for THRO STICK just move stick down and is fine. Perhaps I'm lucky and others with problems are not but it is an annoying buzz

By the way, I use mine in a IOM Yacht with old style RMG winch and no problems of winch going into error mode.

Find basic programming very simple but very much aimed at heli pilots. Don't know what some functions are for so just leave them alone. Do like adjustable servo though to tweak winch from handset instead of programming Smartwinch.

Nice feel and batteries charge with Futaba style plug centre, - outside of plug through Bmax charger. Rx sinc is great just pushing a button, no loop cable required. Spare XR7000S Rx locked in first try.

I like it, compact, light, lots of features, easy programimg. Would have liked internal aerial though.

Very high ratio between price and performances. I have swapped the stick assemblies from mode 1 to made 2 and I have also selected the proper channel assignements. Inside the tx, there are 4 three ways pulgs that can be assigned to the proper function. Only problem is the absence of exponential rating function, that is very important for a clean fly. I suppose that the absence of exponential rates, is only a marketing choice, because in a computer controlled transmitter, it is only a matter of software.

these are a great bang for your buck. i little more simple than the 9x but still a great radio. easier to use for the first timer.. very good buy for the first radio

On first look, this looks like a decent transmitter. I really like the design and back-lit display. Programming the radio is very easy, simple interface.

But when testing this radio with the provided receiver on a plane (Walrus PNF), the system tends to lock-out for about half a second, which happens quite frequently (around 1~3 times a minute). I first thought that it could be the stock ESC's problem, not supplying current efficiently to the 6 servos of the plane. I swapped out the stock ESC with a larger 30A opto esc and but a seperate BEC but the lock-out problem persists with no improvement.
I tried everything, putting ferrite ring on BEC, ESC, antenna placed outside the plane, away from ESC and battery, nothing works.

The lock-out gets more frequent as you fly your model further. I really had high hopes for this transmitter. Suspect and hope it is a problem with the receiver so that i can get a replacement. Anyone have this problem please help!

Seems Ok for what it's worth, not the quality of a9X but also less complicated for the novice.
Unless you stick to the TX on FIRST, RX off LAST you will find the winch servo trying to pull the sheets in past the full in point, risking winch cover tearing, or worse.

Other than that, a step down from the 9X but also a lighter, more economical, but less versatile alternative.

Well a very good tx, lightweight very easy to program, BUT it has no EXPO!! expo is very important, and I have seen chaper products with expo..
