Terrible deal! I waited for months, paid a fortune and then the motor arrived, it was in a big box with no padding other than those big air-filled bags that the motor shaft pierced through easily! And I was forced to return it at my expenses adding to the expenses of shipping it to me! Conclusion: Hobbyking's warranty is BS! Contrary to what they say:
"Warranty Other stores will force you to ship the product back to China in full retail packaging every time! Hobbyking's warranty service is professional, fair and fast. "
I will never shop with Hobbyking again!

I love this motor! I put it on an old urban express electric scooter. Used the stock sprocket and chain. (#25) The included aluminum mount allowed me to bolt it right up where the old motor was. I am using some cheapo lipos I got off ebay (WinForce 5200mah 5S) in a 5S 4P configuration. I have this powered by the hobby king 190/200AMP ESC. I also have a hobby king servo tester connected to the original throttle for the scooter. I bought a turnigy aluminum one as well, but somehow it failed. I added pins to the back side of the pot, and plugged the scooter throttle right in. Max power I drew according to my Turnigy Power and Watt Meter, was 132 amps. Something like 2,300 watts. This is on 5s. Note that the Turnigy meter isn't even supposed to go that high! The meter and the ESC handles the high amps like a champ. I wiegh in at about 280lbs and this thing does power wheelies every time I twist the throttle! Can't wait to get a high voltage ESC and hit 40MPH. Note, the scooter goes about 20mph as geared, at 18.5 volts, while able to do wheelies with me on it. At 12s this thing is going to be sick! I will update when (if!) I manage to kill the 190/200 esc. I WILL be buying many more of these motors that's for sure!

The only quality issue I see is that some windings are loose. Nothing that will impare function. I may tack them with some silicone.

This is a great motor, only bad part is the allen key bolts holding the case on. I stripped 4 of them and had to replace them

I fired it up getting ~1800rpm while i was running it off 3s Lipo

I use the Hobby King 150A High performance Brushless Car ESC with no trouble on my 3s Lipo pack

After tests I add centrifugal clutch because of pure start due sensor less system. Now motor works great, but I made to high gear so max. speed is over 60 km/h so range is poor. I have 4 parallel turnigy 5000mAh/6c batts and this ECS:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8920&Product_Name=TURNIGY_K-Force_150A_OPTO_2-6S_Brushless_ESC

I modified cooling of ECS and it works
