Built mine yesterday.came well packed and fairly well built but for the usual slight adjustments needed to get it spot on.Included metal servo works well for this platform.kit came with decals, zip ties, double sided tape and spare screws. The included decals are cheap.Quark Pro 22A ESC,SR300 rx,Black Mantis 2030 4200kv inrunner and Nanotech 2s 800's.Pretty good overall for the price but 2.7mm tweak across the carbon chassis between the steering knuckles-very poor-this alone made the kart pretty much undrivable-dealt with by shimming.Motor mount was easy to modify for my 10mm bossed motor, but dont expect to fit a motor with a larger bearing boss without further mods like an adapter shim/plate.
Cut some of the radio deck to get the best placement for my gear. This model would benifit from a radio with end points for sure as the steering will go past the point of no return without mods to the leverage ratio.
Not a bad kit for the price but the bend in the chassis which can not be repaired is very bad and would completely stum any user with the knowhow.
would i buy another-yes i have to because not all the spares are listed even at the Chinese wharehouse and because mine needs a new chassis to make it work properly.
I paid cheap and got cheap-quite happy.

Hello
I have my F1 kart for about a week and I wanted to share my thoughts with You.
I received this kit in a brown box already built with servo installed. Kart itself is well built but not without a flaw. This thing uses a mini style servo for steering, it's arm is much too long in comparison to front wheels arms. I needed to change my EPA on TX to 30pcnt and it still turning sharply. I will modify my Kart to use micro servo, this way servo arm will be shorter and I will be able to set this thing better.
Main problem, at last with the one I received, is that the gears aren't straight, gear between motor and rear axle is going back and forward while turning, I changed the screw that mounts that gear so it will not move from vibration etc. after that plastic gears were tightened to one another hard and motor had problems to turn them. Because of that I gave only 3 crowns for quality. Right now I'm wearing off those plastic gears so the rear axle will work smoothly and without any resistance.

I saw lots of questions if the trackstar 1/18 motors will fit to this. The answer is Yes but.
1. Mounting holes in motor are narrower than those in kart so You will need to trim the mount.
2. Motor shaft is 2mm and pinion is for 3mm shaft so You will need to put some aluminum foil between or something so pinion will go straight and tight.
3. Slowest Trackstar motor is 4300kv and thats a lot.

This is a great litte Go-Kart. Fun to Build, Assume to play with.

Best way to build is to order what HobbyKing recommends, And its will all fit perfect. The Radio and reciever combo, Is a great deal and very well made.

My spec:

0.8 3s Zippy Lipo 30-40C.
20-30 6200Kv brushless inrunner (FIN)
Trackstar 19A esc

Build and fit- All of the parts look great. Built very wrong and will put up with some abuse. I have bent a rear axle by running on vey rough ground at high speed.
Parts are a tight fit. I had to modify the mount to fit the motor. Battery just fits in. I ended up putting the ESC in the driver's seat and doing away with the driver. Still very tight but it is a tiny car.

Driving: Well the last car I owned was a Tamiya Super hornet, so this was a learning curve. I have severely overpowered it and it is a handful. It will do hoops on the spot. Literally on the spot and care has to be taken to be cornering. Due to the solid rear axle, it either wants to drive over the front wheels (understeer) or spin out. Probably not the best if you wanted to race it but bucket loads of fun to mess around with.

Make sure you: Have a radio that has the ability to limit steering servo. This is vital so that you can actually steer the thing. the wheels can flick around past 90 degrees and get stuck there. But hey, real Karts do that too so ummm thumbs up for detail!

Mods I plan: Remove the seat and put the battery dead centre. Hopefully this will stop it pulling to the right under wheel spin. Also keen to fit a stronger servo for steering so it centers a bit more positively. Also going to get rid of the s

This is a fun little kart.

I purchased the following bits (hobby king part numbers):
T800.2S.35
18A-SL
HK-300Y

After reading a few of the reviews here, I ordered a Hobbywing eZRun 18T/5200kv 2030-size RC Brushless Motor which screws into the motor mount with no modifications or hacks.

Everything fits nicely...

The ESC fits perfectly in the moulded base, however the battery connector did not match the ESC, so they will need to be replaced, or an adaptor bought/made.

I mounted the RX into the kart on its side as it was a little too wide to fit in the moulded section when mounted flat.

I attached the on/off switch on top of the RX.
