Might want to stay away from purchasing this motor and choose one with a solid shaft coming out instead of the "aluminum prop adapter" that "bolts on" like this one. Any slight thread damage and you wind up buying a new motor because you cannot buy just a prop adapter by itself, and no other will fit. On the other hand, the "collet type" prop adapters are readily available in any hobby shop that fit the standardized shifts. Very disappointing since they advertise these in the new Model Aviation AMA mag, andf yet both USA warehouses are out of them. Can't even buy a motor without lots of downtime.

I bought these for my first quadcopter and was and still am happy with them. Unfortunately they now come without mounting plates. There's a slot in the box for a mounting plate but no plate. I see now it says in the description that it comes with a "built in aluminum mount for easy installation". BS - now I have to try to find mounting plates to match the holes in the motor bottom. There are no screws to fit these holes either. Buyers beware!

I received my Multistar 2216-800 motors today, shipping was fast and they arrived in excellent condition. I am using them with a 25 amp Q-Brain esc. and 9x4.5 APC props. I did a test run using the 4 in one connector with my RX and they all ran perfectly within 5pcnt of max RPM. Very impressive motors!

2 out of 5 motors have bad bearings out of the box. I bought them after having bad experience with NTM Motors but no luck again. I like to buy from HK but it looks like we should not save money on motors, I do not want to crash my quadcopter with 3DR Pixhawk on it because of cheap bearings.

Fantastic motor! nicely balanced and runs much smoother than the NTM ones and also much cooler. Currently using them on a 450 quad, 4s 4000 mah, 10x5 props, and getting about 12 min fligh with LOTS of power. The only thing is that some of the motor's bearings are harder than others. Overall a very recommendable motor.
