I have mine mounted in a Wild hare 40%giles 202 still breaking it in with 100 octane avgas and Redline 2 stroke full syn. oil-have 5 25os fuel tanks through it and with every tank it sounds better - swinging an27x10 axsor prop-flip the choke on full throttle ignition off flip it over 6 times turn on ignition on flip it 3-4 times and it starts for about 10 seconds- turn choke off 3 clicks on the throttle-4 to5 flips by hand and she fires up idles at 1600 rpm - I have only run it at full throttle to check rpm and with each tank it is increasing - now its at 5800 rpm-I have had NO problems at all with this motor it is outstanding and am going to get another to put in my Hanger 9 Viking--my rating on a scale on 0-10 it is a10 very well pleased

This motor is not fit to be a paper weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Price aside, THE MOTOR IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!
REAR BEARING IS TOO SMALL TO TAKE ANY FLIGHT LOADS.
CRANK TOLERANCES ALLOW THE CRANK TO BE SPUN OUT OF ALIGNMENT BY HAND!!!!
EVEN WELDING THE CRANK WILL NOT GIVE 3 MINUTES FLIGHT TIME BEFORE THE MOTOR SELF DESTRUCTS.
DON'T EXPECT ANY ADMISSION FROM HOBBY KING OF SELLING A TOTALLY SUBSTANDARD UNFIT PRODUCT.
THIS PRODUCT IS A TRAVESTY, A TRUE WASTE OF MONEY, NONE OF WHICH IS SALVAGEABLE!!!!! DO NOT WAST YOU"RE MONEY ON THIS RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a really nice motor. It looks just like my DLA 112. I think DLA is making these for HK. I put it on a new Extra 260 108" . Using a 28x10 Biela carbon fiber prop. Using Red line 30 to 1 for break in. Got it primed and it fire right up.
I would buy again. Thanks HK

Poor quality Chinese bitsa motor with no spares or warranty backup.
Steer clear of this one, poor con-rod journal tolerance ensures you will need plenty of spare parts to rebuild the motor when the crankshaft cork-screws itself into the cases.
If you do own one and have not run/destroyed it, I highly recommend you dismantle the motor and get the 4 con-rod journal ends(2 crank pins) TIG welded to the 4 crank webs. At least then you may get to run the motor more than once!

Habe 2 dieser Motoren gekauft. der erste sprang nach viel Muehe an und ging dann im Flug aus. Danach wollte er nicht mehr. Ich denke es liegt an der Zuendung. Der 2. sprang zwar gut an, kam aber nicht richtig auf Drehzahl und der Zwischengasbereich war katastrophal.
Nach der Montage eines Vergaser-Ansaugtrichters war der Motor wie ausgewechselt. Er lueft jetzt sauber in allen Drehzahlbereichen und mit der Leistung bin ich sehr zufrieden.

Engine was mounted to a 2.50m / 10kg Schleppstick. Plane is for glider towing. Ran after a few cranks by hand, accelerates the plane endless vertically. Carb needed to be leaned out a little, engine swing a 27x12 w/ 5600 rpm at 6000ft altitude. Ran my motor for 2 hrs then totalled the plane by flying too wild. Crankshaft was warped, front bolt broken, prop hub worn out (turned over on crankshaft). I was able to straighten and adjust crankshaft on a lathe and MIG-welded it so it can't warp any more. Fixed all other parts w/ replacements of DLA112 which fit perfectly. Ran it now again for 2 hrs, strong like before and very easy to start and reliable. Except weak crankshaft it's a great value for the price! Would definitely buy again, as towing will be a pleasure w/ that combination. Exvcept will avoide to total the plane :)))

My motor has spun the crank locking the motor, destroying the rear bearing.
Both big end pins rotated, making the crank shaft a corkscrew that wound itself into the crank-cases. The cause was poor tolerance on crank pins rendering the press fit too loose for normal usage.
The motor is now unusable
Total run time was 6 minutes.
Do yourselves a favor and buy a quality brand motor as at least you will receive warranty support for faulty/failed products or components.

I have a DA100 and this one is pretty much a knock off of it. Dimensions are all pretty much the same except this one is shorter by 10mm (from memory). Mounting pattern is identical, same exhaust dimensions and bolt spacing. Run in on Mejzlik carbon 27 x10. Now using 28 x 10 Mejzlik. This motor is not quite as refined as the DA but for 25pcnt of the price it is good value. Time will tell if all the sub components are of reasonable quality. I'm using twin KS canisters with 315mm long, 90 degree headers. Power appears to be about what is stated. I am also using 5.5V regulated supply for ignition. So far it's proving to be good value.
