Overall I am quite satisfied with all products I have purchased from HK over the past 5-6-7? years. But I am absolutely not happy with these servo's. For some reason I can still not figure out why I have burnt approx. 4-5 of these over the past 2 years while building my glider. They are built in the wings and elevator of my large glider L-213A from Valenta (the plane has not been flown yet, due to these issues). In each wing 4 servo's are built in. 2 per each aileron, one for the flap and one for the Spoilers. For the Spoilers I used the TGY-A55F slim servo of which also approx 2-3 have burnt down over time.
All servo's were neatly mounted and all connectors were neatly soldered with an original green Multiplex connector (2 connectors per wing). All solders were inspected with a loop and covered with shrink tube. All servo's were mounted stress free. And then suddenly one of the 9150's or TGY-A55H's (doing nothing) would get very hot and died (also randomly). As said this happened 4-5 times while I ordered new ones and replaced them. I used two different receivers. first a Spektrum 12000 (built in Bec) and later with a Jeti RX14 with a Jeti 20A Max Bex 2D EX. Not being confident anymore I decided to remove them all (10 servo's in total) and replce them for Savox, which is a second investment.....

MY search for a 1/8 good buggy and truggy servo has ended. This is fast and strong. You may want to check dimension for some cars though, it is a little taller than most other servos. BUT make it fit and you wont be sorry.

This is the former HD-9150 servo from HuiDa company, located in HK. I use approximately 20 of these servos almost since five years. The TGY-9150 has an excellent performance and accuracy but is sensitive to high voltage. So never use it with 2 lipo's without BEC! One can use a power supply with two 2S1P LiFePO4's and two Schottky diodes for dicoupling. The Schottky's take away 0.6V from the voltage of the LiFepO4's so that your servos operate exactly at 6.0V. All my old servos with an age of almost 5 years perform like being new. This servo is a winner !

pessoal uso esses servos em todos meus rcs 1/8,buggy ae rc8.2, monster truck robitronic hurricane e um traxxas xo-1 ..e melhor que os savox que usavae custa metade do preo..e omelhor comprem sem medo ..da um joinha ai pra ajudar..abraos

Have 5 of these in my Aeroworks Yak54 50cc , run them directly on 6.6volt LiFe with 1.5" arms.
Very satisfied with centering, speed and torque.
Get 4 crowns for some minor "slop" in the gears, but it don't affect my flying.

I have been using these in a 55cc aerotow plane for 3 years now. They are an excellent servo and have survived 2 crashes with no damage to the servo. Just as good as "brand" name servos selling for twice the price.
