I have two, and two X-Car 120a ESCz. Used it to update formware downloaded from HobbyWing and another firmware from an archive site for SkyRC. Both firmwares worked.
I have also used this USB adapter for other ESCz. Very happy with this USB adapter. It does what it was designed to do and does it well, some of the 'other companies' USB adapters do not include a protective outer casing but this one does!

Just what i needed, You can update firmware and tweak settings via the hobbywing software, They also work on the blue ebay 120a escs. Must have battery connected and have all 3 wires plugged into to programmer.

This programer works with most Hobbywing ESC! With the Xcar 120 it works fine and I was able to set it up for a blinky class so I did not had to order a new

The entire process has been disappointing. After downloading the software.... No instructions and no reference to my ESC in the program!! Oh by the way: the software doesn't work with a MAC!
I'm trying to believe but the chat agent was clueless about helping me. His suggestion: buy the expensive box! AM I THE ONLY ONE???
