I feel like I was lied to.

I ordered two of these batteries from HobbyKing, it was my first and possibly last purchase. I am struggling financially and mentally right now so this purchase was costly but also I was hoping, potentially good for me to get out and fly again.
The price looked amazing and even though I had to have the batteries from the Hong Kong warehouse, at no point in my transaction was any mention made of having to pay an import tax.
I had been so close to not buying the batteries because of the cost and my partner really encouraged me to do so in order to give me something to look forward to and enjoy. Model flying has been the only small spark of interest and joy I have had for a few years now.
We couldn't really afford it, (we don't have a cable or Sky subscription, cigarettes or alcohol) but she persuaded me that the benefits could outweigh the negatives.
Sure enough I bought the batteries and was then hit with an import tax of a third of the initial purchase price.
To say that I felt sick was an understatement. I tried to get in touch with customer services and they just refused to help in any way.
It does mention import tax if you manage to get right into the weeds of the FAQ's but at no point in my whole transaction was it mentioned. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought the batteries and accepted the financial burden.
The batteries themselves seem fine, obviously I had to solder the connections onto the ends but I was expecting that.

An excellent pack for performance. However it appears to be unobtainable in Europe and the UK which makes it poor value for price when the added cost for carriage and custom duties are taken into consideration

I purchased two of these batteries to use in series, in an old Hanger 9 PT-19 ARF that I purchased back in 1999. I also had an old Hacker C50-14XL motor and a 20 X 13 APC E prop and at full throttle it pulls 65 amps, maybe a bit more at full charge. Anyways, I can fly this 15 lbs plane for 5 minutes without much throttle management and those batteries come out of the plane slightly warm to the touch. I am very impressed with them, and they do not take up as much room as the standard ones do. Even the cost is attractive!
