The 55HZ-R is the pinnacle of "50 size" helicopter engines. It features the same bolt pattern as the original 50SX-H though boasts 11% more horsepower! Laying down a hard core 3D flight requires time, talent and practice. It also requires consistency and that’s where the 55HZ-R DRS (Demand Regulator System) really shines. Mounted in-line with the carb, the DRS taps crankcase pressure to ensure a consistent flow of fuel from full tank to fumes, regardless of attitude. The result is superbly consistent performance and dependability second to none. The three needle 40L-R carb features high and medium-speed needles as well as a idle mixture control screw to provide fine-tuned performance through the rpm range. Balanced, optimized crankshaft for vibration control and improved performance. Twin ball bearings support the hardened steel cranksft for the ultimate in efficiency. Fuel for this engine is recommended to use 10~30% nitro, with at least 18% oil content by volume.
