Built for speed but with a low wing-loading, the Parkjet 2 screams across the sky and can still glide in for a slow landing. This combined with the addition of an all-in-one receiver/3-axis flight stabilization system, the Parkjet 2 has an unbelievably wide flight envelope.

The new and improved Parkjet 2 includes a powerful 2623-4500kv brushless outrunner motor, 15A ESC and an improved fiberglass reinforced motor mount giving this model a significant boost in performance. To help manage this power and extreme high speed, a 3-axis flight stabilizer has been pre-installed to keep the on the model on the straight and level during full throttle runs.

The HK Parkjet 2 is a fantastically fast park-flyer with very docile and predictable slow-flight characteristics, it's easy to land and hand launches are made simple with underside finger holds which also mark the CG location. The main wings are reinforced with carbon fiber rods and the fuselage can accept a wide variety of batteries from 800mAh up to 1300mAh!

This version of the Parkjet 2 comes completely "Ready to Fly" with a 4 channel 2.4gHz radio system, lipoly battery and charger all included!

My overall rating of 4/5 takes into account that this model costs so little to buy. Of course it's not as well built as my F27Q Stryker, but it cost about a fifth and in my opinion... the parkjet gives more bang for buck.

The main fuse and wing parts are nicely moulded and I used hot glue with good results. There is nothing to complain about. It's nothing fancy but it's so small and light it doesn't need to be.

I have been a bit tight with 3/5 for quality purely because the motor mount is RUBBISH. The fact that the prop is quite high does mean it wants to nose dive if you try a full throttle launch but people that compain about this are in my opinion poor pilots! When there is some air flow over the wings the high prop position actuayl helps with straight and steady flight at high speeds. The problem is that it's so flimsy if the prop catches the ground on landing it rips the mount apart. I glued mine back together 4 times before swapping for a metal stick mount. Now my prop is mounted much lower and I need a little down stick at full speed to stop it climbing, but no matter how much I drag the prop on landing it will not come off : )

I added some cf rod to the edges of the ailerons and they are nice and stiff. (without adding the rods the ailerons twist slightly giving uneven travel along thier length - I wouldn't like to try any high speed flying without the ailerons being

very powerfull with 3S 1500mAh and 5x5e. Too fast for my cockpit.
I lost it at full speed. 3 Magnet are really not enough.

Viel spa!!

Zero instructions in the kit and none available online. You will experience hours of frustration and rebuilding - redesigning trying to get this thing to fly. The motor is mounted to the motor mount with wood screws that immediately come off. One of my aileron servos was twitchy after only 20 minutes of trimming. There is not enough room in the cockpit for the battery and esc sizes recommended. The magnets on the cockpit immediately came off because they were bonded with worthless glue. The included prop was unbalanced and created horrendous vibration. I had to go to the hardware store and order several parts and rebuild this thing from the ground up. Its incredible that these unflyable, laughably made machines are sold by the thousands.

I like this plane. That being said, I fried the motor on the maiden flight. Using a 30A plush ESC, 4.75x4.75 prop, 950mah 3s 45C battery. Now I'm looking for a better motor that will hold up to the 3s. I would suggest using 2s to avoid killing the motor like I did. When you look up the motor on this site, it said it was only 2s. Why would hobbyking tell me to use a 3S then?

Other than that, I think that the plane is great. Nice dense EPO, very glossy finish, cheap, light, and in the US.

The only weakness in this model I found was motor mount, fine from flying but a bit fragile in an accident. The best and easiest solution was to pop a 20mm long square of balsa in the slot at the bottom of the motor mount and it will cure all weaknesses.
In the standard set up its nice and quick but not ballistic but with the movements maxed it does the fastest rolls of any model I have ever flown.

I have to keep doing lots of reinforcements, the day I bought this little one and havn't made any good flight yet!!!! Further I would pin points some of the below:

*Motor mount is not steady enough, splits in the mid air!!! (I reinforced it with fiber tape and epoxy)

*Canopy doesn't stick longer, blown away in the air!!! ( I put some tape to lock it)

*Need to replace the servos!!! ( I guess they are lazy)

*unbalanced Propellers (feels like vibrate toy)

well. So far I'm able to figure this out that "a lot of work to fly this guy"!!!!

Pros: Everything ready to go, just a touch of glue, add your Rx and lipo (800mah 3S did fine) and its good to go! Motor mount fits in snug, although screws are rubbish for motor. Bit of epoxy sorted that. Big smiles. Massive vertical. Fast flying. Fast roll rate. Nice glide rate. Motor is a demon! Servos held up in some tight turns although would recommend MG servos.

Cons: Motor mount was slightly off. Glue in pack is rubbish! Speed controller gets hot quick. Canopy is a naff fit. My prop had a chip in it. Can be a pain to lauch.
.
Tips: Use glass tape on wing joins, epoxy motor screws, launch at 3/4 throttle with some up trim. 50pcnt expo and 75pcnt rates for a nice steady fly.

For the price of this, even if you have 2 flights and then crash it, its worth it for the smiles!
