delivered with a bend axle

Dec 23, 2020

after delivery I did a testrun with the motor installed in a hotliner fuselage. (to prevent it from moving arround) Very soon I saw that the axle was bend slightly :-(.
Had to sent it back to HK, now 3 weeks later no progress on the claim...

Good motor for hotliner use

Aug 23, 2019

I bought it for an Ion Pro hotliner.
For the fun i mounted a 10x17 RFM folding to see how much speed i could het out of it.
It hasn't flown yet but I tested the motor static and it pulls just over 50A on 4S.
Theoretical speeed should be around 190 km/h on 4S and 250+ on 5S.
But the motor is running very smooth.
Good motor for a good price.

Best Motor for the price!

Dec 05, 2018

I'm running this Motor with a 6s 2650mAh NanoTech Lipo, Yep 150A Esc, turning a 12x13 CAM folding prop with a turbo-spinner in a Hawk F5b Hotliner. Pulling about 95 Amps (~2.4kw!!) this setup is really the best for the price!! Of course you cant give full throttle all the time but neither you can't with other hotliner setups. My switch-on times are usually under or around 10 seconds full throttle, because i couldn't see my model much longer. Temperatures after the flight are uncritical. Comparable setups from other distributors are often more than 500$ minimum. So If you wanna run a Hotliner with about 1700mm wingspan, here is your setup. But make sure the power is not to much for your Hotliner. Make sure it fits in your fuselage, i had to shorten the nose about 6mm, but it was all worth it!

This is a good motor for the price and performs very well in a 2kg warmliner.
Unlimited vertical climb at good speed with 15x10 carbon folder on 5 cells.
A mix of full and part throttle takes a 2250 mah batt down to storage voltage after a 7 minute flight.

I have been using this motor for over a year now and it could't perform any better. Using it in FVK Kamalot hotliner with 4s Nanotech and 16 x 13 follder, reaches 1000ft in 9secs. Excelent.

I got this motor to use in a TT Siren. The motor is a tight fit and required a spacer to fit correctly. You need a prop adaptor with a long shank as the shaft is a bit short.
Ive static tested the mot on a zippy 4S 4000 30C, 14x8 folder, 100Amp Yep speedy = 8670 RPM, 38Amps, 16.5V, 637W after 1min, 884W peak.
Cant try anything else at the moment as this is the largest folding prop I have and I plan to run on 4S 2450 Hacker batteries anyway because they fit the air frame.

Very nice at any price. Tested on the bench with an Xoar 16x8 wood prop.
3s 38 amps and 382 watt
4s 72 amps and 1090 watt
5s 82 amps and 1425 watt.
This motor is rated at 1750 watt.
Motor runs smooth and cool. Should be fine on a 16x10 static, or maybe 16x12 in the air if used with caution. Very impressed.
Built in fan will allow motor to be run well above 1750 Watt in short bursts.
Red brick 200 amp esc, none opto, corrected manual programs ok.

I use this motor on a Graupner Speed (eq. Wilco) 1,7m hotliner, AUW about 1,5kg (?). Setup 4s nanotech 2.6, prop 13x8, K-Force 150A opto. Good power, runs very smooth, motor - batt - esc completely cool after flight. 5sec bursts pull up to more than 200m. Will be very fine on 5s (ordering now) and perhaps will even tolerate a bigger prop.
