There's a lot to be said for the simple things in life, and with RC equipment becoming ever more flexible it's a refreshing change to find a simple, 4 channel radio that dispenses with the need for programming before you can use it.
The Turnigy TGY-i4X AFHDS/2A does exactly that and is a great entry level 4-channel telemetry 2.4ghz transmitter that can be switched between 1st and 2nd generation Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System (AFHDS 2A) spread spectrum technology. The Turnigy TGY-i4X has a nice quality look and feel, while the programming is limited to one-switch V-tail/elevon mixing and servo reversing only. The transmitter is capable of being upgraded to up to 10 channels, see manual for details.
An ergonomically designed, ultra slim case design fits comfortably in your hands, an advantage during long flights. Digital trims and easy to read battery indicator LEDs give the TGY-i4X a modern feel with all the essential features you need. With a low profile antenna, the TGY-i4X is easy to transport and store. Adjustable length sticks, and a loop for attaching a neck strap round out the list of comfort features this radio offers.
The TGY-i4X comes with the TGY-i4X 4-channel receiver and is a superb budget radio for both new and experienced pilots alike!
