I bought one of these kits two years ago and have been using it for spare parts on a cheaper HK450V2. The V2 tail broke and the metal tail assembly from the GT was installed. The tail shaft must be bent as the tail vibrates like crazy even with the tail blades removed. I've another V2 in the box so will use the cheaper plastic tail instead. I think both the HK450V2 and HK450GT are real bargains but the kits are never perfect and many times have missing parts. If buying for the first time I would buy 2.

this is the first real collective pitch helicopter i have flown and for the price its hard to beat.
building the kit was easy thanks to the finless bob videos and since i bought it i logged around 60 flights.
setup: hk933mg (tail) hxt900 (cyclic), turnigy typhoon 3550 11t pinion, rotorstar 45 amp esc, assan gyro.
going to upgrade the servos to 306hv servos allround.

Terrific value for a learner - belt tail much more forgiving than TT. only real criticism imo is the flybar damping system (thrust 'hat' washers tend to flatten). Can also adapt to FBL using Trex kit.

Good helicopter for the price but do yourself a favour - replace the tail gear box with a better one. I had two of these kits and three times the tail gear box failed after 20 or so flights, and all I was doing is just hovering. One of the failures caused the heli spin out of control and crash. Replaced the tail rotor assebly with one made by Tarot and that solved the problem. Lately I crashed the heli again and, surprisingly, it withstood it very well - very minor damage.

This helicopter is quiet nice.
I use it with HK Hardware and also the complete HK 450 cost only 90 Euro ready for flying.
Still top and very good.

Have had a few of the 450 clones over recent years, whilst they all offer good value this one in my opinion is the best so far. Comes with a decent pair of glass blades. Assembly was straight forward, had no issue with screw heads rounding off. I did have quite a lot of screws and bits left in the box when the heli was completed which was a bit worrying.
Flight characteristics are really nice and solid. I have set mine up for basic aero's and it nice and predicable. I think the price tag leads to more confidence though. Bearing in mind I have paid more for a set of blades in the past , I don't think you can go wrong.

Superb kit! Cheap as chips too. Quality of metal parts is a little soft, and threads a little weak... But this heli is teaching me to fly with very little outlay or repair costs! Last "ground meeting" cost me all of 4.50 for 2 new HXT900's :)
Buy one now if you're jumping from the likes of a nano cpx!:)

Love this little heli! I have a Trex 450L dominator too, but thought I'd teach myself with something far less expensive. 130 with everything except the TX?? I'll have a bit of that! Flies nice and smooth. Just be careful when assembling... the alloy is a lot softer than the Align stuff.
