good osd for fixed wing or large copters, you should buy the usb programmer also because you need it to calibrate(rssi;voltage...)

the voltage sensor is a bit big (mainly connectors)

Price is a little high for what it does but overall its a great little OSD and I've had no problems with it so far. The GPS is not that accurate but it's not horrendous

I recently upgraded to this unit from HobbyKing's "Mini OSD" System, and I am much happier with this product.
It was very easy to set up, no soldering or splicing of wires was required for me.
The display is nice, home direction is a great feature.
The altitude and speed seem reasonably accurate, unlike the "Mini OSD" system which was terrible.
The only downside for me is it can display only one battery's voltage reading. Would be perfect if it could display at least two.

i had the II version of this and it worked pretty good for a year so i ordered this one last year and had to give up the hobby for a while .. i finally got to plug it in and its DOA DANGIT !@ )_(&

Working voltage is given for 7.4V-12V for the OSD part, I apparently burned it out with a 3S LIPO (wich give 12.6V). working well for 30mn then heat smell and no more osd info and grey color screen.
is it a normal thing?

It is a bit finicky to get it going, I have to press the reset button sometimes to get the OSD info going. There is a red LED that blinks sometimes, and after reset it goes to a solid red light. Not a word about this in the so called manual either... The only real value of the manual is the connection diagrams, but there is no other info about the unit. But it does its job OK once you reset it. The simplified view is not obstructing the view, but still gives good information, I like it better than the cluttered view. One star off for the glitches.

Nice OSD when it works, but be carefull when doing a firmware update, because it can make the hardware unusable, I did that, when aplying the firmware update sudenly the OSD stopped working and there is no way to make it turn on now, I've searched in forums for a way to fix the problem, and it appears to be a common issue.
