I did lots of research before I bought this esc. And BOY I’m glad I bought it. Used to upgrade my rattler V1. (Kept stock 2700kv)The punch is good on 2s and crazy on 3s. I haven’t even tried it on 4s yet. Was so pleased I have bought the 100a esc and gonna try it in my rustler. I set the esc up manually waiting for program card to fine tune. Brought my rattler back to life. Only this don’t like is how unprotected the Capacitors are. Overall a great value, excellent quality for the price point. Will buy for my next build.

I have 2 of these ESC's. I bought the first one and used in in my OFNA GTP with a 3100 KV 3665 motor sensorless, runs absolutely awesome, ran this for about a year with no issues. Then I ended up getting the Basher Nitro Circus SCT for $100 shipped which left me some extra cash to buyXK3665-B-3190KV and this ESC. Hooked it all up, and it ran...just OK. I decided to reset the ESC and re-calibrate. All I have to say is...WOW what a difference. It's FAST! Ran about 6 packs through it, standard Zippy 5000MAH, 30C batts. Temps are extremely low both esc and motor. 100pcnt recommend!

The reversing function is terrible. I previously used a Trackstar speed controller in my combat robot to control the brushless powered axe with no problems at all. I needed to use those controller elsewhere so I decided to try this controller. It all works perfectly except that reverse will cutout after 3 or 4 axe swings. Once it has cut out I have to press forward on the axe 3 or 4 more times before it will allow me to use reverse again. It's as if the controller has decided that I have used reverse too many times and wants to protect my drive train. It actually says in the instructions that the reverse feature is design to protect the gears. I use steel sprockets in my gearbox, not cheese grade R/C car gears and this speedo controller needs the Trackstars 3rd reversing "go hard" option. This speedo will cause me to lose fights.

Has one guy said, the setting are crappy! To make things worse the program card won't work, just stays on read.
Does anybody have any idea what is wrong?

Awesome ESC. Using it in my caldera 10E with 2s lipo and stock motor. It is bigger but it doesn't even get warm. It must have twice the power of the factory ESC. I ordered the HKSS 150 amp programming card and it works great. I highly recommend it.

I can't get over how big this thing is but what a great esc lots of power a fits perfectly in my 2wd slash. Did I mention that it's BIG' pictures do not really show how big it is very happy with it thanks HK .

mine dont work after a month on 4s with trackstar 2650 4s and traxxas e maxx 3908.
but the 150amp is same saive and have run in three different trucks on 2s 3 s 4s and 6s for months and has been wet while cleaned and works fine

Very nice ESC. Powerful, always cold with a HK 540 9T brushless motor and 3S LiPO. Easily programmable with HKSS 150A Program card( code HKSS-prog ). Thanks Hobby King!!!

i purchased the 80a sd esc to use with a 1/8 scale(5mm shaft)sensored short course motor i had laying about but 4.5t at 4000kv with 4s lipo was asking a bit much of it i suspect it died quite suddenley,i would be cautious only use 2s or 3s lipo on 1/10 scale kit&no faster than 6.5t. With 4s lipo i wouldn't risk more than 8.5t 3000kv.
