the meter works well. the balance function can't handle any power. It takes days to balance a larger size battery. good to maybe 1000mAhr.

Good battery checker but can overheat when discharging

The Battery Medic works well as a battery checker and I use it to balance a Lipo after a fight. I tried the discharge function on my 4000 4S after 10 minutes and the Battery Medic gets too hot, the screen turns black so I unplugged. The screen has recovered.

Dangerous

Gets very hot when using to put batteries into storage. The screen goes black along side so you can’t read display.
The balance connecting is very loose and you have to position carefully.
In principle sounds a good idea but very dangerous don’t ever leave this connected to a battery and leave it to make cup of tea, you may come back to a fire
There are safer options around.
