Wanted a quality ESC for my S500 in 4S setup. One of the four smoked during RTH and quad fell from 0.5 m breaking a leg. I have many hobbywing esc on my helis and no one has ever failed. Don't know what happened to this one, I'm worried, don't know if I can trust them for my 1.7-1.8 kg quad. Had afro ESC on older projects and the first one died after more than 100 flights, this one had only 10 .... :( Disapointed but it might be an exception.

I love these, I use them with 3525-850Kv motors powered by an 8000mah 3s lipo and Naza M v2 on an s500 quad frame, and they are perfect. After a full flight, they are not even warm, and the throttle calibration could not be easier. The firmware on these is very smooth in controlling the motors, and at the price, it's unbelievable. It may be possible that the firmware is better then BL Heli and Simonk. I've gone through my fair share of ESC's, and these are my favourites. Could not be happier with the purchase.

Man what a difference. My old ESC's (hobbypower) burnt up just by looking at the ground! these have held up despite props hitting the ground a couple of times and a serious crash (due to NAZA). handle my 580kv motors with ease. no programming required. dont get talked into the simonk mumbo jumber. these use their own quality firmware where you get a reliable linear throttle. simple.

Just received mine and have yet to fire it up, however, the power leads are very light duty for a 40 Amp speedie. I'll be replacing mine. These light gauge leads surely save weight, but 40 amps is 40 amps.

Bought 4 for a diy 1.2m quad.pair with quanum 5208 320kv motors.Very good esc,no issue at all.HAPPY!!!
