After some months in the box because i couldnt get it working/ arming (see below), i tried again with a race star 4 in 1 esc. I updated the firmware and hey presto it works. It wont arm in GPS mode unless it has locked on to enough satelites but will arm in stable mode anytime. Perhaps JIYI have been tinkering with the firmware, for the better i might add !

Bin sehr zufrieden mit der Steuerung. Macht genau das,was Sie soll.
Auch ohne GPS-Mode sehr stabil. Für den Preis unschlagbar.

I spent hours and hours on this FC and I have finally given up. Life is just too short !. I fitted Afro's first. I could get these to arm but there was a dead zone between 10-20% on the throttle. No amount of different firmware or calibrations would get rid of it. Then I tried Hobbyking blue series ESC's. Known to have worked for other people. No matter what I did, I couldn't get these to arm. Then I tried a qbrain. These would work on anything wouldn't they ? They armed but I couldn't get the throttle range to work consistently. So I changed the Radio and receiver and tried all the above combinations again. Finally back to the afros and SBUS on the receiver, mildly better on the throttle dead zone. So I thought I would at least try a test flight. When I did attempt a flight the led went out and stayed out as soon as the ESC's were armed, then returned when disarmed. I have been a UK CAA qualified UAV pilot for 3 years, and building configuring multicopters for many more years before that..... and my senses tell me that unless all looks and feels correct, don't fly. So I didn't !. In conclusion I would say that this is a firmware problem (which I did update). I believe the basic hardware is of good quality but there is a definite problem with the firmware in so much as there are huge incompatibility issues. Nice try JIYI, but by the look of the reduced support for the P2, its about to be discontinued.

I am happy with this F.C. works well on my v700 quad gps hold is solid and all modes work well it is a nice and easy F.C. to setup and the software is easy to use the manual is well written and easy to understand and I got it on sale for 70$ which was a great deal for this well made F.C. Buy it worth every penny

Good FC (hard to combine with ESC's, most of them wont work)

An excellent flight controller when you know what to combine with. Not compatible with many esc's. Works very smoothly with the HobbyKing BlueSeries brushless speed controller. I bought a lot of these FC's, and had a problem with 2-3 of them (mostly with the channel 3). When everything is done properly, it is very stable and safe to fly. I have tested RTH compared to Naza, and is even more precise.

dont waste your money , I bought 3 and try 1 , its cant be arm , and ch6 are unfuncion, I will try 2 last , I hope it can work normaly , I am disapointed , about QC from Hobbyking , its bad .....

Bought 4 units and 2x have problem, Jiyi got QC issue. HK want me to sent back to warehouse will cost me more then 50pcnt of the unit cost since i bought it at offer prices. So i choose to bin it. that bad luck for me and no more taking risk with Jiyi.....

Great flight controller, especially for simple stabilize mode and hovers / gps. Can do sport mode (I understand it might be acro). Great aluminum box. Software not as good as DJI and can be refined abit more, but for the price is great and performance great do compare with Jiyi P2 Pro, that one offers better hover and can connect to GCS (Android). Like my P2 Pro review, you may have to manually callibrate the ESCs as there is no step in the software to do this, but is just basic plug the ESC servo leads directly to the Receiver and calibrate using throttle stick.
