My second plane, the other an AXN Floater so i was a bit nervous to fly something smaller and more agile but it flew great. Easy to put together, limited instructions included but not really needed. Went together well, no problems and had the bonus of Rudder servo installed with tail wheel.
Flew really well out the box with a Zippy 1300mah 3s lipo. No messing with getting the CoG correct it was set up well and flew level. It is responsive when flown quick but also holds it own at slower speeds which is great for newer pilots like myself.
The design is better than some models i have seen as access to all the components is easy and the larger 3s battery slots in perfectly. The motor can also be removed easily by the two small holes in the front. The wings detach for easy transport with 2 screws.

Impressed with the little BF109, looks great and as a relative newbie to flying planes i found it a pleasure to fly.

Received mine 2 days after ordering, as usual it was fantastically packaged (double boxed). Reasonably easy to put together; the ESC was disconnected from the motor and I had a very hard time reconnecting them, as the cables are extremely short. Also, the wing screws don't seem to fasten the wing on very securely, so I recommend either replacing the screws or gluing the wing. Using a Turnigy Nano-tech 1300mah 2S right up in the nose to get the CG right.

Maiden flight went very smoothly, only thing to watch for is the propeller torque on take-off. Once in the air very little trimming was needed, it flew straight and true. It will loop and roll with ease. I found I only needed 50pcnt rates for a comfortable flight, 100pcnt and the aircraft rolls like a drill bit. Landings were cake, power off and it glides on in.

Also worth noting my BF-109 had the rudder servo already installed, very handy for take-offs and landing.

Overall an exceptional model, especially given the price.

Rudder servo and all hardware installed and ready to go. No manual or any supporting docs included. Straight forward and minimal set up required. Just fastened the control surface horns and hooked up the control arms as they were pre-installed to the middle of the three positions on each horn.

Manufacturer recommended CoG = 50mm (from LE of wing at wing root) and set up for a little nose heavy (approx. 47mm).
Nano-tech 950mAh 3S 25C LiPO
AUW = 469g with Rx and 30g nose ballast to get the CoG where I wanted it. Plan to use larger LiPOs and experiment with CoG and various AUW to see how she flies at different wing loadings...

Flew without landing gear, with hand launch and belly lands in the grass. I found a dominant (right handed) hand, overhand launch worked best. Let the plane do the work, just give it an easy push, nice and level and take care not to give it a spin on release. Flies out of hand true at 3/4 throttle with no torque issues.

Needed only slight trim (pretty close to neutral) and well balanced over all, though definitely flew nose heavy at the 47mm or so CoG, I'll move that back a good few mm for sure something like 53mm or so sounds good.

Handled the 10mph wind very nicely. Penetrates well. Runs with the wind well. Gets knocked around a fair bit as expected when sideways to the wind. Somewhat twitchy but surprisingly well mannered for the size and

Very happy with this bird. A few scary moments on the maiden with the ailerons rather twitchy, 40pcnt will be enough for me. It came well packed (as always from NSW) and with rudder installed, thanks! Measured the thrust with 2s: 350g. Since the stock spinner is not to my taste (snaps together but how can you separate the 2 halves?) I changed the prop to 8x4 prop saver (looks are not my priority lol) and use 3s 1Ah. It draws 12A WOT (just like on the 8.5x9 stock prop) but thrust is 650g, what a rocket, but motor gets hot (140W instead of 90 W after all). I cut a larger hole on the bottom just where the ESC sits for cooling. Will not fly WOT for longer periods of time anyway. Watch out for wingtip stall, otherwise a great bird! Maybe I'll remove the wheels, they hook in easily and bend. Altogether a good buy!

Second session today light breeze. Successfully managed a series of flights with ground take offs. Changed prop to 8x6 has eliminated tourque roll plentey of speed on half throttle handles on rails great slow flight and glide. Tends to tuck under on high power right turns but is seriously fun fast roll rate unlimited vertical very stable.

awsome plane boxed as a FMS easy to assemble carbon renforced tail 8x9 prop 20amp esc 25amp burst 3 cell capeable. fast on 3 cell. test fly in 25kpa wind very reactive but stable and pleanty of trottle authority watch out for torque roll even on hand launch (wouldnt be a 109 without it). setup 1300 3cell set all the way forward all horns on third hole 25pcntexpo on elevator and 20pcntreduced travel an alirons with 35pcntexpo. Had three terriable landings due to gusting wind nothing broken.

Like some others I also purchased this model for some ACES 1/12 scale rc combat experiment. I reinforced the wing with a hollow 4mm square carbon rod, that is joined into v-shaped spar with some carbon roving and epoxy. Maiden flight was with 8x6 prop and 3S 2100mAh LiPo. Motor and ESC are stock. This model flies awesome. Tight rolls and loops are no problem. With my control linkage setup I did not manage to stall this plane with abrupt elevator movement at high speed. Landings into very tall grass are easy. On stock setup it is slower than nitro models. work still in progress...

Ditched in the ocean after a battery died and she surfed in (stiff sea breaze). When i got home i flooded all electirc componenents with WD40 and left it to dry out. 2 days later all working fine exept motor not running. Removed plastic cove from ESC and rinsed it with fresh water and then WD40 before drying with a hairdryer. Good as new exept battery. This is a tough warbird that is extremly well behaved in the air handles wind and will take the Knocks. Spares are available on another site. I will buy another when they are back in stock
