You vil need a, servo revers for one of the elevator servos.

And the motor in the combo recomendation(Turnegi 2226) does not fit the fan as it is 29mm and the fan is for 28mm!!

The plane it self looks nice, but seems a bit on the havy side for this fan!

Tested the fan unit. I use the recommended HK2839EDF Outrunner 2800 kV and 4 cell 2.200 mAh Turnigy 20-30C. I held the fan in my hand which is not ideal since when pressing the fan housing it becomes oval and the fan blades touch the wall. But anyhow, balance on fan blade unit was better than most plastic fans I have and power is fantastic. Could hardly hold it at 400 Watt which was not max speed. So I am sure this fan set up is more than sufficient and will rocket the plane. The fan is fitted to the 4 mm motor shaft with a collet chuck and it fits very well.

Just received the plane and it is truly fantastic. Very beautiful. Manual of course stinks so it took some time to figure out how to activate the servos so you can open up the canopy. There is an external battery connector at the underside of the body. You need to connect this and then plug in the servo leads to a servo tester. Channel 6 is for the retracts and channel 5 is for the canopy. The retracts and canopy servos are great - only these items are woth the price of the whole plane. A really fantastic low price. Can't wait to put it together and do the maiden flight. And by the way, fan seems to be of good quality but haven't tested it yet. Hope the blade has OK balance. But this plane can also fit the EPF fan sold here. I may use this instead. Will let you know.

I purchased this item from a company here is Oz. This one will come from the same manufacturer and I have to say it's fantastic. The guy complaining about the wing loading is wrong. At 1/4 throttle it just floats. I have the Black / Gold version which I'm sure they will bring out soon. The F-35 pilots are the perfect size. Worm gear retracts work perfect. Also, the canopy opens and closes so you can put the battery in it. C of G is recommended at 74-76mm from the start of the leading edge of the wing. When the Black one arrives I'll buy one from here just for spares. The price is great too. They cost around $300-350 Oz. Definately something a bit different to have at your field
