I purchased the original Spartan a year or so ago, they have made major improvements on the II version. The button is softer to push and easier to format. It can also be used on the Futaba 10C.

This also works with the 10C, which is not listed in the HK add. I bought a couple of the competitive 128K modules before HK got these in. These take a little practice and some force to operate the push button, but wow the amount of back up and redundance you have. I guess you wouldn't want and easy initiate button, just in case it got activated by mistake. After using this one over two years, no complaints or problems. I own a 9Z, two 9Cs and a 10C and they work well in all of them, once you program them for the radio you will be using it in. Highly recommended!

Top ! 192 models memories (8 bank of 24 models) for my T9CP Super. You can write-protect every bank (one by one), very pratical for protect your backup. You can also accede to firmware pages, but beware to do not mistakes.

Received mine this week and starting formatting and loading to replace a competitors 256K unit that came without an exterior case.

First, the Spartan would only open three sections instead of the four advertised, no matter how many times you push the button, it skips the fourth channel. On my Futaba 10C each channel/section will expand memory to a total of 32 models, same as the competitor 256K unit. The button on the top of the Spartan requires quite a bit of force and you have to hold it in for a pretty long period of time to get it to shift to the change channel mode. I like the competitors better with the open card and display lights that tell you which mode you are in. The Spartan can't be 512K, or if it is, they are including all the memory used up for the additional extra resets and programs that are included. The competitors version also includes all of those extra programs as well at almost the identical price. Sorry HK but I won't be buying any more of these, very disappointed. It will collect dust in my transmitter case as a back up to the already excellent and easier to use 256 K unit I already have.
