Good looking spinner but make sure it will fit.

So the little spinners are pretty nice. However the spinner is made so the back plate is the surface the hits the base on the motor shaft. So the prop adapter is built in. But most prop adapters step out 1/2" to 3/4" from seated then the spinner back plate and prop go on. So hard to explain but the spinner back plate is back the 1/2"plus from your normal prop adapter. So when you install the spinner/prop adapter it will hit the cowl of the plane long before it slides on the motor shaft down to the base to be tightened. So to make it work on most planes you would have to move your motor forward with standoffs until the spinner will clear the cowl.

Great spinner but it will only fit planes that have a flush cowl. So the base needs to stop on the motor shaft against the motor can this surface of the motor can must be the same as the cowl surface. So most foam planes or current planes you can buy the motor is set back about 1/2" behind the cowl so when you go to install this spinner it hits the cowl long before it pushes down seated on the motor shaft. So I bought it and it does not fit any plane I own. Bummer as it is a nice looking spinner. Also it is fairly heavy vs a plastic or carbon spinner. But looks good once I get a plane it fits.

Yes, This is another quality product from HK. The finish and balance are good. It has a neat "needelnose" shape. I highly reccomend it.

Excellent quality spinner, especially for this price!

People say they have been having centring issues with this collet. HERE'S THE FIX!

The collet is removable, leaving a hole 10mm in diameter in the back plate. Will obviously fit a 10mm motor shaft without modification. I'm planning on using it on a 8mm shaft, and so will use a 8mm internal diameter and 10mm external diameter nylon spacer. The back plate will sit squarely against my prop adapter, and I'll use a GS0042 (Hobbyking 8mm adapter) to secure the spinner. this will add $2 to the cost. Still MUCH cheaper than buying one locally!!
