NOT Ball jointgs

Bazeljet is correct, these are NOT ball joints. If I had read his review first, I would not have bought them as they aren't suitable for my intended use, but the may be useful else where so I'll keep them. But be advised HobbyKing, if you continue to carelessly mislabel the items you sell you will loose your customer's trust and your customers.

Not happy and returned goods to warehouse for credit.

These items are not a real ball joint, there is only 1 degree of rotational freedom in this design, a ball joint by definition needs 2. The bearing is a rolling element type which is why the cost is relatively high. Also no M2 thread in the shank. Hobbyking needs to re-label these items as something else because they are not ball joints and hopefully procure a proper ball joint. Designed and made correctly a real ball joint could be cheaper than these items because a rolling element type bearing is not required.

Very nice joints but some of the bearings need to be lubricated. I also recomend to glue the bearing to the joint.

These are great for very low friction control linkages with virtually no free play. They use roller bearings, not ball joints. I used these with Carbon Fiber Rod 1.8x750mm (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6730) and

2 Part Acrylate Adhesive V-Strong (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=5536&Product_Name=2_Part_Acrylate_Adhesive_V-Strong)
