Nice motor for scale flying and some stunts, runs smooth and cool when not pushed to its limits. Very good motor for headspeeds around 1600 - 2500 rpm with 10 - 12 teeth pinion gear. Be sure you loctite the little grub screw holding the can on the shaft, it is not secured and could come loose, leaving your heli without power when you need it. After securing this grub screw, the motor is reliable and runs smooth for a long time.

on a 60amp esc (the recmmended is 50amp) and half throttle ,the motor became extremly hot after only few seconds(untouchable) so it melted the hot glue around the mounting plate...very dissapointed..

We built this outrunner in a 1/10 kyosho nitro-truggy (kyosho tr-15 st).
It has a lot of power. Great acceleration and good top speed with a 13T pinion gear (also available at hobbyking - but sadly only on the international warehouse.
We use it with the 35A HobbyKing esc. We know it is too small - but it is tho only car esc available from the EU warehouse. And it seems to work really good.
Btw: At first we used a HK inrunner (S2838-2800 Brushless Inrunner) but it got really hot and one day it burned... this outrunner seems to be the better choice - stays cool, no tickling at low speed and a lot of power ;)
