nice quality unit. However, it gets hot quickly. I'm running 4s with a 9.5x5 prop. After 4mins burst-dive-glide on my warm liner it's coming down REALLY hot. The figures in the description are pure fantasy!

I've had two of these, the latest one the shaft was not inclined to stay in the motor at all. Spun it up on the bench, got to 20pcnt power and the prop started to 'fly away' from the plane!

I'm not sure how the shafts are held in, but it wasn't happening for this one. Eventually resorted to seriously roughing up the shaft and a bit of glue and jamming it back in.

Despite all that overheated in my Deamon glider after second flight, second one fried even though I toned down the prop to reduce load... Just gets too hot too quick, and only so many holes I can drill in the fuselage and maintain strength.

Thanks to the others for the data. I can add my first test for a Spectra sailplane.

3s lipo , HK 9X5 folding prop - 29A 13000 rpm.

This gets warm to the touch. At 40 A it would be quite hot.

I have installed this motor in a Parkzone Stryker using a Custom RC Parts motor mount. Running a 7x8 APC sport prop (gas prop) with 60 amp Turnigy Plush. Draws about 28 amps from a 2200 30C 4 cell pack. Plane has been radared at 104 mph on a calm day. Everything comes down cold-warm to the touch. Performance is very similar to eflite Power 25 1250 kV out runner motor. I know, because I had one on the plane prior to this motor.

Just received my motor.

Quick test on a Turnigy 1800mAh 40C

Aeronaunt 10*8 folder 52A, very hot very quickly.

Graupner 9*6 folder 41A, windings at 52 Celcius and 15sec run.

I would say you don't want to run this motor at much more than 40A on a 1:30 duty cycle.

On paper this motor looked interesting. Mine was on back order for two months. I am itching to test it on a 3S 2200 mAH pac in my glider. Any guess of what it will pull on a 12 x6 Graupner folder ?

After I receive it will up date my rating of two stars.
