fitted these to my LX 1700mm Corsair. Very solid and work very well. They can tend to bind about half way through operation but taking the square edges of the aluminium T piece where the rotating arm ball joint is attached can smooth this out. Have this connected to a Turnigy 4 in 1 smart gear/door controller and it is faultless. Doors open, wheels retract, doors close and vice versa. All metal makes them very strong. You need to remove the aluminium T piece and grind a flat on the shaft so the set screws grip and prevent rotating. A bit of heat with a butane pencil flame allows easier removal of set screws. I can recommend these.
Un demi-train HS aprs 3 ou 4 fermetures au banc. HS juste aprs le montage dans mon P40.... :(
1 motor out of order after 3 movements .... Out of order just after mounting in plane .....The retracts do the job as advertised. I placed them in my Flite Rite 60 size P-40 Warhawk and I AM NOT disappointed with the results. They fit with a little fitting work involving 1/8 inch plywood and CA finished with 30 minute epoxy.totally useless. Both gears collapsed on second landing. Trunnion not travelling into a down lock position as micro limit switch set too w.rong positionI received my retracts a couple of months ago for my P40E WARHAWK, as Im in the process of building have mounted them with no problem ,have tested them they extend and retracted without any problem and Im only using a 4.8 battery when the aircraft is ready to fly the retracts will be controlled by its individual 6v batteryI've ordered and recently received these retracts for my HK P40, The good points so far, they do look and feel a lot more sturdy than the stock retracts, then again they should be for the price, now for the bad points, they will not fully open and retract in one go, you will need switch on, wait until halfway through the travel operation, quickly switch off and switch on again for the retracts to fully travel. The retract bodies are deeper and longer than the original and I ended up cutting the plastic gear floor away in addition to removing 4mm from one side, worse still because the retract bodies are so much longer and deeper than the stock items you will need to remove the gear door and gear door servo, there is just no room for it. All in all they are advertised as being a replacement for the poor retracts supplied with the 1700mm P40 with the option of swopping over the wheels (which you can't), Yes the retracts will fit with some butchering and hopefully will work and be more durable but I feel that HK either didn't test this product properly themselves or at worse misled me in their product video stating that it would be a relatively simple fix. Sorry HK, but after being let down by the original purchase of the P40, then having replacement parts sent and subsequently having to buy these retracts I don't think you done yourselves credit on this occasion. I am a big fan of
