ESCs are OK!
They heat-up a bit at 15Amps, a bit jumpy at start but ok in overall. You just can't beat the price.
Their cooling can be improved greatly if the wrapping is taken off (carefully, don't short-out anything on them!) and the heat spreader is exposed directly to airflow or propwash.

Even better, stick them spreader-side on the booms if they are square aluminum type. (zip ties, some thermal grease, you know.. ) Everybody put's their ESCs with the heat spreader facing outwards even if they have metallic booms that could take the heat away fast.

I use them in a 2.1Kg Quad. They work but 30A is quite overstated. You guys should write realistic numbers on your stuff.

Hovering current per ESC is 5-7A (Measured with accurate industrial clamp meter) and flying current up to 17A so they should handle is with ease but two of them get really hot.
No matter to which motor I hook them up, it's always the same two that get hot...

I really can't imagine this ESC to work at currents above 20A.

A great ESC, i have these on 2 of my multi-rotors and am very happy with them, they do not get too hot and are very smooth

These ESCs are rated for 30Amps.... but it cannot handle more than 6 Amps.. all four of them over heads and shuts down randomly in 4 to 5 minutes of flying.. my quad crashed 3 times due this problem and third time into pieces... these escs are crap.. never again buy these ones....

Decent ESC... You likely want the programming cards as well though, since you can't configure much without it.

no need simonK firmware i think. it's very good with stock firmware but it needs little bit programming. on some frames (X650F) it doesn't fit esc mount and cables are too short

bought multistar esc for use with multirotor obviously. wondering if the f-20a/f-30a might be a better choice for the FETs, but currently these are pretty good. going to flash them with simonk.

Good ESC but not great, I tried them in a quad that I have SimonK controllers with a KK2 board and it took a lot of adjusting but didn't fly as well, but was better than a regular ESC.

These OPTO units don't seem to like being flashed with SimonK firmware, I flashed mine with the KDA file and smoke started coming out of my test motor, though I've seen people succeed with the BEC version, I may have had a dud but wasn't willing to try anymore.

These OPTO units don't seem to like being flashed with SimonK firmware, I flashed mine with the KDA file and smoke started coming out of my test motor, though I've seen people succeed with the BEC version, I may have had a dud but wasn't willing to try anymore.

i guess it is ok to use it as it is, but don't try to flash it with simonk firmware because they won't work smoothly. jerky movements and not reliable when flashed.

alle 4 gelieferten Regler nicht in Ordnung gewesen! Gleiche bei einem Kollegen. Hoffe das war nur eine schlechte Serie und es wird behoben.
