I purchased this unit to monitor temperatures of my motor and battery in my 1/10 touring car, it provides peace of mind when you are running close to the edge. I paired it up with the wireless battery monitor (also from hobby king) for a cheap telemetry system.

nice gadget very useful when not malfunction



cons:

-maximum transfer range app 15-20meters... ONLY!

probably came with flushed output stage of RX

(note: I did not turn it on without pulled antene)



as I read it probably works on 800mHz.. but interfeing with my 2,4Ghz rx/tx probably exact multiple of same frequency



wil not remember settings.. every time when turning on is neccesary to set max temperatures in order to start monitoring.



TX consumig 32,4mAh (0,0324Ah)

RX consuming from 50 to 100mAh (0,05-0,1Ah) depends on ow mny led lightning



summary: nice when not malfunction, too expensive and in my case almost unusable, microprocesor core of tx getting hot (mesured by infra temp... ~90C !!!

It does work well. Receiver works with 4.8 V up to 7.4 V. Transmitter works with 7.4V (3 pins of the balancing plug of a LIPO 2S or 3S connected) or 11.1V (all 4 pins of a LIPO 3S connected). Because it has 6 pins, I SUPPOSE that will work with a LIPO 4S or 5S (I did not test this voltage). With the transmitter facing up(that is, in such a way you can read "T1, T2,T3", connect keepping the positive wire at your right. Manual is very poor.

Nice piece of kit when pushing equipment to the limit, or avoiding doing so.

Measure temperature on 3 channels, f.i. motor, speedcontrol and lipo. Each channel has it's own adjustable alarm limit, just be sure to set this up or the device will not work!

Receiver battery bay is 29x32x10mm, fits 2s Zippy 240mah (need one of those red bec connectors to hook it up). Transmitter can be plugged into balance connector on lipo.

perfect I use is to monitor home wood boiler

just need a battery that is hard to find if you want to fit it in the case (100 mAh) so $ stars only

you will get approx one hour worktime on battery

It works, need a 6v battery for receiver. The gauge isn't very sensible and don't detect quickly temperature elevation, but it's very reasonable and useful! The signal distance I found max 10-15 mt.lost signal

Better if there was also included receiver battery!

I received this item and the instructions say "install the 2S lipo battery". WHAT battery? I didn't receive any battery. Furthermore, there is a very small space for the battery. What size battery do I need?
