Good 3d plane for learn, not think it is really unbreakable, but easy to fix it.
Espect not too lot from the "landing gear", it is just hard wire, and my bigger wheels didn't worked at me, unless the diy rear wheel.

The airframe weight was around 360g, but not sure.
My setup:
3s 2200 battery
turnigy d2836 1100kv
turnigy plush 30a
11x4.7 slow flier prop. Need to try out folding prop, because this breaks easily on hard landing...

The whole plane around 700gr (ca 24,6oz), and flies 15-17 minutes without tricks and just around half throttle, and no heat. (was on my first flight ^_^)

Awesome vertical climb, but need lot of practice for a newbie like me.

The wing on mine was so twisted that it required 15mm of deflection on each aileron to compensate for the washout and washin on each wing. As it was useless I pulled the wing apart (quite easily because there was very little contact between the parts that had been glued). It looked as though it had been put together by a 3 year old. I am currently reconstructing the wing without the twists. This is my 3rd and last Red Eagle plane. The solid core EPP flying wing is OK but the Yak54 like the Extra were about as rigid as a jelly. I will post photos in the files section of the poor construction if I can.

Purchased this one after playing around with the "Silent" (Made by the same company).
Of the two I prefer the silent.

When it is the air it is very easy to lose orientation due to the colour scheme on the plane.

Running a D2830-1000KV 9x6 Prop, 30am esc. (Tried a 2217 23Amp with 10x4.5 prop and it was way over powered and had massive wing wobble when it got to any reasonable speed). So careful not to over power it.

Overall not a bad plane for the money but as per the Silent - Ditch the landing gear and just go with belly landings. It bends and flexes all over the place.

The plane can take some seriously hard knocks and can be fixed relatively easy with Hot glue.

For the money, you cannot go wrong. Beginners to good, I recommend this plane. My set up is a 2217 1000of motor, 18 amp esc, nine gram servos and 3 cell 1300 lipo. Great combo for me. This thing went together so easy, the only problem is the landing gear moved it forward three inches. Flies so good. I have war birds, indoor, and the yak 55, and this is the go to plane for ease and fun flying. Recommend, recommend, recommend.....

Love this plane. Shipped out right away. Went together fast and easy. 2217-950 kv motor. 10x4.7 prop. 20 amp e-flight esc. 9 gram servos and 3 cell 1300 battery. Flies so well. Even on windy days. I had to move the landing gear forward two inches. It nose dives on the ground. Will be buying one for grandpa soon. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Purchased this from the Aussie Warehouse and built it up in a few hours. Powered by a KDA 20-22L, 9x3.8 SF prop (balanced), HXT900 servos and 3S 850 mA battery. It's a fun machine. It does all the 3D tricks. Harrier landings. Rudder turns in almost it's own length at just under half throttle and of course it bounces. Ailerons flutter if you let the speed creep up, just remember to throttle off on the down hill. I love this thing even though it isn't the prettiest thing I own.

Save your money. I bought this plane and aside from all the problems i had building it it flies like a dog. It can't handle wind, it gets some pretty horrific flutteres up if i goes fast at all and you can't really do much in the way of cool aerobattics because its just too pooly put together and unstable. And its cetainly NOT unbreakable. It rips and crack very very easily.

3D flight is a challenge with this model. Extremely flexible and thin epp, over a frame, makes for major distortion in the plane under stress causing control issues. The Yak54-Kit-EPP is a much better choice and airplane.

Buy one. It's the best bit of rubbish I have bought from HK and I love it. It flips, rolls, vertical climbs, twists, flies upside down and if I pull out of a dive hard or stand on it's side in a turn and the ailerons flap like mad. Crash it and it wags its tail and shouts "C'mon lets do that again." I have not mastered knife edge or prop hanging but I keep trying. Probably need as a bigger prop. I am using an 8 x 3.8. I use a 3S 1300 battery and it will last for 8 mins flat out and I put back 60pcnt. I modified the undercarraige with a cross brace and some extra velcro to hold the sides together below the battery after I found they would fall out on hard turns.
