Short-circuited tested - passed with flying colors

Bought two on sale at a screaming deal. In the process of soldering and installing battery cables onto my 3dsets RC, managed to pinch the hot and negative leads. Plugged the battery in and poof - instant short-circuit discharge test. Wire covers instantly melted and everything welded together. Disconnected the battery as fast as I could but damage was done.
Battery did not explode - big thumbs up here, so I appreciate the construction of the battery in that it did not blow up in my face when it was short-circuited. Also, when plugged into my Turnigy charger, it failed to start charging on bad voltage. So I think that's also a good thing - the monitoring connection did what it was supposed to do, and told my battery charger not to do anything.
The one battery that I didn't ruin seems to run for a nice long time on its first charge. I broke my RC driveshaft before I could deplete the battery, so battery 1 - RC car 0 - on this challenge.
Anyway, appreciate this not blowing up despite the short-circuit discharge test I created at my own fault. Thanks Zippy!

Well worth the price. Per cell IR around 3.0 which is really good considering that a similar pack from another brand started at an IR of 13 per cell
