I had another flashlight before witch got stolen from my bike. It was a higher quality brand (called led savers) and it had 700 lm and an 18650 cell. It was about 35 euros on sale but it's 45 now. I didn't want to spend that much this time.
Compared to that, this one/ the A2 is a bit smaller (smaller than I thougt) and it feels like it's about the same quality. According to specs it has about a 1000 lumens. It is very bright, but I don't think it's brighter than the led savers that "only" had a cree XPG3 and 700 lm.
I think the A2 is about the same brightness. 700lm (I also read about it in a forum). I like that I don't have to remove the end cap to charge it.
The light beam/optics on this one is good. I saw a video of it compared to the A3 (or was it A5?) and some others that has a strong centre, surrounded by some "leaking" light when zoomed out. I don't like that. This one has an even, round light without the centre dot.
When fully zoomed in it gets square shaped and you see the dots of the T6 L2 led.
It also has a better push button than most others. On other flashlights you need to turn it of and on again to change light mode. On this one you only push once to change light mode and push and hold to turn it off.

I like this flashlight a lot! It is very bright and it is handy to be able to change the shape of the beam from a flood to a focused beam. Its also nice that its usb rechargeable.

Très belle lampe de poche. Faisceau lumineux règlable. trois intensité de lumière, un mode clignotant rapide et code morse sos. Eteindre par appui long sur le bouton.
Un seul gros défaut, elle n'est pas livrée avec sa batterie. Il faut donc commander séparément une batterie de type "18650" (li-ion env. 2500Mah).

klasse lampe, weil leistungsstark, kompakt und aufladen via usb.
nur nicht am pc oder lappi. geht zwar, aber daaaaaauert (nur 0,5A und meisst unter 5V).
einschalten und modi zappen mit kurzem tip auf den gummitaster, ausschalten etwa 2-3sek
halten. nur aufgepasst, wenn die lampe in der jackentasche transportiert wird.
aus versehen an den eintaster und es wird nicht nur hell, sondern auch heiss in der tasche!
ein schalter, hinten auf der kappe, wie bei fast allen anderen funzeln, wäre da sinnvoll.

great flashlight

during the last years, i got several flashlights and now this one is new in my collection :) great idea, charching it by USB, connected to what ever, but best result will give everything else, than the ports from your pc or laptop (most only 0,5A/port and voltage under 5V). light, focus and durability is well done. switching on needs only a short push, off needs be pressed 2-3sec.
just take care, carrying the flashlight in a tight pocket. remember, just a short push
and you got bright light, getting hot in your jacket ;)
so, dear honesty king of hobby, a click-switch, like most other flashlights have,
would make this item perfect and save.
