The Quanum Nova was developed with one primary goal in mind - providing our customers with a simple, user friendly drone capable of proffessional level flight performance. This goal has been realized. Now you have the perfect machine for carrying your GoPro or other similar sized action cameras for shooting awesome aerial video!

When it comes to ease of use, the Nova is at the top of the list. Arriving fully tuned and setup, you simply need to install the landing gear and props, charge the battery and fly. It's that easy. For more advanced users or as your skills progress, you can connect the Nova to MAVLink compatible software such as Mission Planner or others, allowing access to a whole host of programming options including selectable flight modes, GPS waypoint functionality, advanced tuning and so much more!

The Nova features a beautifully molded plastic body which not only offers good looks, it provides durability and is extremely light weight. The lower body shell of the Nova integrates bright LED lights, green in the front arms and red in the rear, making orientation easy in both day and night flying. Additionally, there are two large status indicator LEDs at the rear which show the current status, such as GPS signal and battery condition.

Aerial video is where it's at and the Nova is just the model for it. The Nova is directly compatible with our Quanum Q-2D brushless GoPro gimbal, providing direct fit mounting. Simply bolt-on the Q-2D and connect it to the integrated gimbal control plugs on the bottom of the Nova. The on-board connections provide power, tilt and roll functions for the Q-2D gimbal. There is also a very convenient mini USB connection for connecting the Nova to your PC.

Excellent choice, quality, stable ideal for novice ! I even let my 7 years old boy to fly a whole battery himself (away from crowd of course). In stable mode you can do everything you can, leave it and prepare your coffee, it flies alone right out of the box !!! More than 20 flight so far. Only problem which I assume has to be calibrated is that in "return home" mode it returns back bt stays hovering 5-6 meters above ground without landing, At first it landed alone a couple of times, now not any more. I assume Z dimension of GPS needs calibrating

So...i got the nova in the sales, was not really thinking to buy one as i already have the qrx350pro, that flies very well. but it came up on very good offer so i got one! After the initial setup of the nova i found it flew ok but did tend to drift to the left...so after watching a few youtube videos on how to re-calibrate to take care of the drift i carefully re-calibrated and now have it flying very well. The return to home has proven to be very accurate, in fact it returns to home more quickly than the walkera quad does.
it's a little lighter than the qrx350pro and does not handle wind quite so well but it's really pretty good in general. All soldered up nice inside, got a good one! I have been in the air for 12 mins with a 2200mah battery and 14 mins in the air with the stock 2700mah battery...i guess the low voltage alarm would kick in within a few mins more but i did not wait for that to happen. would i buy another?? Yes! like all of these things if you set it up right it will work well.

It flies very nicely and all the flight modes work perfectly. It's easy to connect to Mission Planner software that can be used for waypoint flying and calibrating as well as simulation flying.

Flying on GPS in Loiter mode works great, it handles well in manual (stabillize) flight mode as well and RTH is a nice fail safe to have although I would recommend learning to fly manually so you can allways save the quad yourself.

Some of the soldering doesn't look very neat but it is all in perfect working order so no real reason to complain about that.

It carries a gopro hero 3 / 4 or simillar camera quite well and is a stable platform for aerial video. I would recommend a brushless gimbal if you want real stable video.

For me e very nice quad for the money.
