Looking like it's doing 100mph standing still, the Racer Cat is an all things to all pilots model that will give hours of fun. The Racer Cat is a nice size and the attractive colour scheme is great for orientation. The more you look at this ARF, the more the quality impresses, superbly applied Oracover covering, the hardware is top notch, the cowl and spats have a deep laquered finish and the airframe is amazingly well built, strong yet light.

Designed for either a 0.60 two stroke or 0.90 four stroke engine, the model only requires fairly basic standard servo's and so offers a cheap, quick build. The wing is removable 1pc set up so the Racer Cat is easy to transport and the wing design is impressive, thin section with a light wing loading, the tailpane is also profile not flat sheet.

This is a great model. The quality is very high and the build was very easy and quick. Saito 91 4 stoke gives the model extremely good performance. Maiden flight was simple and easy with no unexpected issues. Landing is easy and straight forward and the glide is very good indeed. This is as good as my H9 Pulse (at a fraction of the cost) which fly's extremely well with a 91 4 stroke. Well done HobbyKing for a very good model. IT ALSO LOOKS GREAT TO
Down side is the fuel tank is too small and the control surface horns are not to my liking and the push rods are the wrong size (too thick) for the outer tube. Therefore only a 4 for overall rating. Build quality of the model is excellent.

Well I have one of these and I am impressed with it flight performance, it flys very smoothly and no bad habbits, have the c of g as instructions say. I have a saio 91 in it.
Built quality is as any artf from known main stream ( good).
Ony two things about it the fuel tank is a bit small for some, and the controll rods supplied for the elevator and rudder are two stiff so you defently have to change those for more flexable rods (no big deal)

VERY impressed with the quality. The covering is excellent. Not one wrinkle out of the box. Appears built very well with sufficient glue visible at critical joints. All the hardware looks useable and of good quality. I have over 50 planes and this is better than most of whats available from H9 or GP. Very unique looking plane. I'm sure it will build quickly and easily. I plan on installing a Saito 91 four stroke. Will update on the building and flying ASAP. Good job HK. Price is great for what I received!

Hello All,

Just got two of these for my son and me. At this point I am in the middle of assembling them. Overall this is a very nice plane. The covering was wrinkle free when they arrived. The parts are fitting together perfectly. The construction is very good compared to some other Arf's I've had from other companies. The wood is of good quality, much better than most. I think these planes will be a real blast to fly this summer. I did notice two things that could be improved. The fuel proofing on the firewall leaves a bit to be desired. This is easily taken care of with a coat of dope or polyester resin. I usually give most of the arf's another coat anyway. The pushrods are the main area of concern. The metal rods barely go through the guides and are very stiff. They are not satisfactory, but then again, the plane is value priced. Other than the pushrods I really have no complaints. I still think that they will be great planes to fly. Thanks Hobby King.
