The best just got better, the RADIOMASTER TX16S Max MKII OpenTx radio has been created to be the best radio in its class without compromising anything. It is still a high-end, low-cost, OpenTx radio that has many great features, and this version includes the powerful long-range ELRS protocol. With the MKII you get many new features, these include, improved internal circuitry, V4.0 Hall sensor gimbals for improved centering, improved ergonomics, retooled Tx body shell for improved fit and finish, redesigned battery cover, improved knobs and sliders that are smoother with a better center ident. The TX16S Max MKII is also available in either an FCC version or a European LBT version, please check the specifications below for the supported protocol.

The TX16S Max MKII transmitter supports EdgeTX and OpenTX open source firmware which is fully supported by the OpenTX development team. RADIOMASTER works closely with the EdgeTX team to develop and optimize the user experience and will continue to ensure that the concept and standards are carried forward into the future. There is a module slot in the back of the transmitter that will accept the popular JR/FrSky/TBS Crossfire type which means you can be up and running almost instantly with your favorite protocols. There is no need to remove the external module if you have one plugged in as the TX16S Max can be easily switched between the internal RF and the external RF. The transmitter is also Mode selectable so it can be either Mode 1 or Mode 2, this does, however, require the back being removed to move some mechanical components from one stick unit to the other. The ergonomic design has been improved and the MKII now includes optional flat or raised rear grips to customize the feel of your TX 16S.

The TX16S Max MKII is supplied with various switches, rotary knobs and sliders, and a momentary switch which gives you lots of options when it comes to programming your models. There is an industrial-grade IPS 4.3" (480x272) 3-color LED daylight readable touch display screen for status and programming. The actual programming of the transmitter is a very simple affair using a combination of the touch screen, system/page buttons, and the menu scrolling wheel. Also included is a built-in USB-C charging system for 2 x 18650 cells, external UART ports to expand the capabilities of the Tx, an external SD card slot, built-in voice support, a folding carry handle, and much more.

Overall this improved MKII version of the iconic Max 16S is an easy-to-use, OpenTx transmitter with the long-range ELRS protocol that has loads of features, and many improvements over earlier models.
