Does this run off 12 volts? or just 4.2 servo plug from receiver?

VOLTAGE: 8,4 Vdc (2 LiPo's)
There are 3 resistors on the back meaning the led' are connected in series 2 and 2 and 2. Each red led needs 2,5 volt to emit light. When in series of 2, then 5 volts. The resistors all read 161. -meaning 16 and one '0' in the end = 160 ohm. The current in a led is 20 mA=0,02A. 160ohm x 0,02A=3,2V = the resistor 'eats" 3,2 volts.
3,2v for the resistor 5v for the led's is 8,2volts in total. A 2s LiPo is therefore perfect for the job. Putting in more voltage than that will only make them hot and last shorter/burn out faster.

I'm running 6 of these 6 led strips off my pdb on 3s zmr 250, nice and bright, there perfect. Tho I burned up a strip the backs are an open circuit board and can short out. Ordering 4 red for the back of my 250 quad. Again 3s lipo off the battery works fine, I cut off the connectors and solder them in. The quality could be a bit better, when you bend the strip sometimes lights go off, also can short out if comes in contact with metal or carbon fiber.

Excelente opcin para ver la orientacin de tu quad en la noche (Uso sugerido) se monta en los brazos y entonces ya sabes hacia que lugar ve el quad, la luz roja que da no es tan fuerte pero es perfectamente visible desde tierra
