Dont try in a boat, burnt up big time after about 2 min :P also the motor had a gold colored can and was labled aerodrive.. ah well worth a try for the price I guess.

Diese "Hybrid"-Ausfuehrung ist keine glueckliche Konstruktion. Der zusaetzliche Mantel um den Aussenlaeufer bringt nur Gewicht und behindert die Waermeabfuhr. Bei starker Belastung wird der Motor sofort hei und riecht nach Ampere. Mit einer 10x6er Klappluftschraube ist er bereits berfordert, ich wrde vom Kauf abraten, HK hat auch ganz ordentliche Innenlaeufer im Programm.

This is a good motor for the price. There is no way this motor generates 1200+ watts of power. I'm running it on a 4 cell lipo, 60amp esc, and 8x6 e-prop and it runs hot. It will probably only run at full throttle for just a few seconds. Most of my time is spent at just above half throttle and the esc and motor was already hot after 2 minutes. I was expecting 1200 watts of power, but there is no way this motor is getting close to it. Still good f

I mounted this motor on eco 8 ikarus,16T, sentry esc 60A and 3s lipo 4400mA. Rotor speed is 1200 rpm, It's not enough! flight last about 10'.

Motor lightly hot and esc keep cold.

I'll try 4s lipo to increase rpm.

I'm glad of my purchase.

great motor hard to cool for r

When I first bought this didn't realize how it worked. I tried using it for rc boat but gave up on the idea as the only way to cool it was to cool the mounting plate and hope the cooling transfered through the bearing to the shaft. I have purchased many other motors from uh and this one has still been the most torqyiest if that's even a word. Bought another one(higher rpm) recently for my multiplex cularis as I think it would make a great motor.
