the goods : nice colour display, fast tuning to suit the environment brightness
small, lightweight.
the cons : the cable is a little bit too short, since the Video Tx has to be a distance away from noisy components.
overall : good stuffs with great price tag, have to make your own extension cable.

Poor when it comes to bright light. its just Ok in dusk but useless for quad or any racing or FPV. As of now I can't use it in any of my things.

Bought this little guy to put on a 2 meter glider. (Phoenix 2000 also from HK) Love the fact that it's PNP right into my Immersion RC video transmitter. It runs on 5 volts for sure - instructions say "3.6-5.5v max 80mA" The lens is a bit too wide angled for my liking at 2.5mm but I see there are other lenses available in the user's manual. Do you sell them HK?
Great low light performance - I have flown at night over a dimly lit town (rural Japan) and can see everything just fine. Time will tell, but for the price and size of this camera, it's well worth having one or two for spares or axillary cameras. I plan to pick up another to use inside of my FX-61 Phantom to monitor my downward facing imager that doesn't have a live out feed.

Very good price for this camera. Quality is ok, not great, but for $20AUD i'm not complaining.

One pro is it is TINY! Also front lens allows you to manually focus to achieve good image quality.

Currently using it with a FT951 5.8GHz Video Transmitter 25mW

Ok well its good but i see a big difference in my flying with this compared to my Sony. The transitions are ok but not great and i found myself misjudging my proximity flying. So if you are just doing some basic FPV then this is great but if you want to fly low and close then i would advise spending a bit more on a better camera.

Had an Old Fatshark ccd killer.

This one is way better in the dark and has a wide angle lens

This camera is really cheap, and runs on 5v. It's tiny, which is great for mounting in small models.

The problem is that it's not tuned well for FPV, contrary to what the description says. It adjusts the exposure way too far for fpv use. It adjusts reasonably quickly to changes in light, which is a good thing, but it judges its exposure poorly.

If you have sky filling any significant portion of your screen, it will adjust to the sky's brightness, giving you a nice blue colour for the sky, but everything on the ground is nearly black and you can't see what you're doing.

The cheap "sony" CCD available for almost the same price has a much more acceptable tuning for FPV, and I would recommend that instead if you have space for its board and want the cheapest usable cam.

I have 2 of these and I will use them as a secondary camera pointing down from the bottom of my plane. (They look pretty decent with nothing bright in frame to screw up the exposure) They don't seem to be useful for much else.

Considering the limitations of CMOS cameras, this one does a very nice job. Very light and is plug and play with fatshark and immersion video transmitters. I recommend it.

I am very impressed with this little camera! It will plug right into an immersionRC or FatShark transmitter. It works right out of the box. The camera will switch to black and white in low light conditions and up the contrast a lot all automatically. There is no adjustments or programming you can do with this camera but the settings from the factory aren't bad.

The lens on mine came cross threaded but took me about 10 seconds to fix. The lens itself is very very wide angle. The edges suffer the typical fish eye distortion with such a wide lens. The center is fine though so flying with it isn't difficult, just takes a little getting used to.

Bottom line...I like this camera a lot. I put it on my 250 quad and ended up ordering 2 more for my other projects! Since I am an immersion guy it makes installation a snap!...literally

my second cam. works good enough in normal light condiions for ke. Sure there are more expensive and better camera's out there, but for this price I can add an FPV set to all my planes without having to switch my more expensive set constantly. donwside of the cam: looking directly into the sun takes a while to adjust. otherwise it is actually very good and ultra small. You can make you own mounting plate for a race quad of just hotglue it to the frame :)
