Este motor promete, 2 primeros tanques con un ralent alto los primeros minutos para calentar, tras unos 5 minutos admite bajar aun mas el ralent sin traqueteos ni amagos de pararse. Los 2 primeros depsitos de 350cc suman un total de 40 minutos de funcionamiento, con una temperatura del motor de 55, hlice 19x6, combustible merlin al 10pcnt y buja OS F, fantstico resultado para rodar sin tocar agujas.

Kaufe mir lieber 2 Asp 180 bevohr ich einen saito/os nehmen wrde.

Well i purchased one of these 180 and was very disapointend.....maybe i got a lemon...could not get it to run properly at high speed...tried every thing with no success.
Eventualy i swaped this engine to a 30CC gas engine.This engine also sucks fuel like crazy.
I have to add that i also have the 91 and 120 ASP four strokes and they run ok with no issues,although my 91 broke a cranckshaft after about 2 years of usage.
In general the ASP four strokes are good reliable engines execpt of 180 to my opinion.
Once using this size of engine displacemnt it's better to go with gas,up to 120 the fuel consumption is ok.

This is the third one of these engines I have used now. All 3 are superb runners with loads of power and great reliability. I have a pair of them fitted into an ESM 95" b-25 Mitchell. Turning 3 blade 16*10 Biela props. Rpms are 6800 wide open. For a good reliable idle WITHOUT glow power I use a #4 hobbyKing glow plug. Runs fantastic. As with all engines, remove the covers and pre-oil everything before first run. Check tappets. I like 5 thou clearance to ensure the valves get good heat transfer into the seat. Once run in these babies are great engines. They stay within 100 revs of each other right from idle to full power. A bit of a flutter around 3500 as they change over to main jet and then smooth as silk. You will not be disappointed with this motor. Just watch your fingers if starting with a stick. Always flick them clockwise and bounce them. They WILL BITE YOU if you don't use caution.
I only gave 4 crowns for overall rating as both my engines had ZERO tappet clearance.
Quality control still needs a bit of work on it.

The Engine's price is fantastic (of course)
The workmanship is clean and neatly done.
If you've seen the vids of it running, it has the best sound of all the 180s on a low pass.
But mine came with the oring between the carb and intake manifold crimpped.
(Oring damaged by the manifold being inserted too fast)
I have submitted a request for a new Oring and will follow up on the warranty with an update and a vid.

My one ist installed in a Flair Hannibal ( 2,31 mtr. wingspan, 6,5 kilo weight).

It is still running in with 5 pcnt nitro, 15 pcnt synthetic and 3 pcnt castor. After running very rich 3 - 4 tanks on the ground, it starts quite easy. OS-F plug and glowdriver with onboard-battery. You have to prime very rich, starts after a few flicks clockwise.

Performance with a Graupner 18 x 6 is satisfying, not enormous.

A good engine for the money.

Dont forget to check the valve clerance and lubricate valve drive/Cam and crankshaft bearings before first start !!

i ordered one of these engines ,can't wait to get it flying, i plan on instaling it on a 90" 3D trainer by PILOT RC, should be great !!

put in a esm bearcat 18x8 prop runs great , perfect for 70 inch warbirds starts easy and uses less fuel than others assume.

fantastico motore asp 180 4 tempi.E' partito al primo colpo con glow 10pcnt nitro 15pcnt olio.Il suono bellissimo l'ho montato su uno yak 54 120 della phoenix con elica 18x6.
