I got mine for AU$70, so I can't complain to much. Most of the components are of reasonable quality. My advise would be to check EVERYTHING before you fly it. It comes pre-assembled, presumably by people who have no idea what they're doing. Loose bolts, jammed bearings, no grease, poor gear mesh... C'mon hobbyking, these should be kits, so people can be responsible for their own build. Anyone who risks flying this without rebuilding properly it is in serious danger...

Very good kit and great price too, the parts are quality and flies well!
There are a couple of minor issues i had:
1. On mine the front torque tube gear needs shims to get rid of the vertical play otherwise gear is able to move away from the other gear and the tail stops turning, or the gears are stripped.. u can use 5x10x0.1mm or 6x12x0.1mm shims both will do the job
2. The tail sits low and same issue getting caught in even short grass and stripping torque tube gears again :D... solution is to buy the align 470l dominator skids - they will fit directly and they have a rake on them (shorter at front that at back) which points the node down slightly and lifts the tail off the ground by about 3-4cm. A definate improvement on the 450l
Overall would have no problems buying this again!

Overall a good Heli.

Bought and build this Heli last week and overall a good Heli but has a few flaws.
One of its flaws is the quality of the aluminum. In my case it was in the swashplate and the anti rotation bracket.
In both cases the threads in the aluminum where completely gone after putting in the screws 2 times. In the case of the swashplate if i hadn't seen it a crash during the maiden was a sure thing.
But other than that it's a good Heli. Flying it with Rotorstar main blades and they don't disappoint me. Together with the turnigy s306g-hv servo's on swash and tail make it a well balanced setup. Only "brand" stuff I got on it are align esc ,motor and a beastX plus.
But a good Heli for a fair price only thing is getting used to the new battery tray system.

Dont waste your $ on any other 450 kit. I did and just found this 450L is way way superior kit. Why? Canopy is FG. Frame is assembled and even the frame sharp edges are smooth. Shipping was 4 days and low cost. So 6s or 3s build is up to you. What a nice kit @ 1/3 the cost.

Have assembled it and have to say it is much better than older 450 PRO helis. Great improvement from GARTT production... The only "problem" that isn't realy a problem but a must do is mesh well all TT umbrella gaers with apropriate shims to make them fit well, but not too tight eather - like all gears in general... All the rest was OK, use threadloch everywhere and grease on thrust bearings main head grips and tail grips as well. Wil tell more after first few flights... Bye

Finally got this bird up in the air and after building it and flying I can say the quality is great. Everything fit together nicely. I always pull all the screws out of the preassembled parts and they were mostly thread locked so I probably would have been ok not doing this. flying was perfect, I didn't have to adjust anything after the 1st flight, everything was just spot on after setup on the bench. I used the ZYX - S2 and it held solid. This is a quite a difference from the HK kits on this site as I had to buy a lot of Align parts for the tail and a new swash as its quality was quite poor (RIP).
