Originally designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the mid-1930s the Germans constructed over 33,000 Bf-109’s between 1939 – 1945 and they were flown in many theatres of operation. The Bf-109e was a fierce adversary for allied fighters such as the Hawker Hurricane and the legendary Supermarine Spitfire. With its lightweight design, retractable landing gear, destructive 20mm cannons, powerful Daimler-Benz liquid-cooled fuel-injected inverted V12 the Bf-109e would have made the Luftwaffe pilot feel nearly invincible.

The Russian Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17 (NATO reporting name "Fresco") entered service in 1952. It was a further development of the successful MiG-15 jet fighter from the Korean War. The MiG-17 had major improvements including a new, thinner, and more swept wing and tailplane which allowed the aircraft to reach high subsonic speeds close to Mach 1 (the speed of sound).

The Avios MiG-17 Fresco captures the looks, style, and rakish lines of the full-size jet beautifully. The color scheme Avios has used is similar to the civilian MIG-17s flown in the United States by the "Black Diamond" Display Team painted in arctic camouflage. The MiG-17 is made of tough, high compression EPO, and pre-painted, but you're expected to apply the decals. Avios has designed a beautiful twin-engine Albatross HU-16 flying boat. What could be better than a large monohull flying boat gracing the skies or taxing across a lake? Its fuselage is torsionally very stiff yet light with loads of space beneath the long top hatch for your radio and power system. The H-King Focke Wulf FW-190 is molded in all EPO foam and has a host of features that will make any scale enthusiast happy. The Focke-Wulf FW 190 Shrike or Butcher Bird was a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s and widely used during World War II. Powered by a radial engine in most versions, the Fw 190 had ample power and was able to lift larger loads than the Messerschmitt Bf 109. The Fw 190 was used by the Luftwaffe in a wide variety of roles, including day fighter, fighter-bomber, ground-attack aircraft, and to a lesser degree, night fighter. The Fw 190 was well-liked by its pilots. Some of the Luftwaffe's most successful fighter aces claimed a great many of their kills while flying it, including Otto Kittel, Walter Nowotny, and Erich Rudorffer.

The engineers at Durafly have come out with another easy-to-fly hand launcher: the Durafly Brewster F2A Buffalo. Prior to World War II, the US Navy was looking for a monoplane to fly off their aircraft carriers and the Buffalo was the winner. The Durafly Buffalo comes in two stylish color schemes: the easy-to-see US Navy pre-war colors and the early World War II US Navy colors.

Large-scale aircraft are a pleasure to fly and this beautiful replica of a 2400mm Piper NE-1 Navy Cub is no exception. It has the same stunning looks as the smaller H-King J3 Navy Cub (NE-1) but on a much larger scale and is just as easy to fly. The Cub is made of balsa and plywood with a realistic Navy Blue printed covering.

Being an ARF there is a bit of building to be done but most components are already assembled. You need to fit your choice of engine, either gas/nitro or electric. Fit the tail surfaces and undercarriage, and then the plug-in wings (ideal for transportation). Then add all the additional electronics (your choice) like servos, receiver/radio and you will be ready to go.
