Great plane

Easy to fly, loads of power and hand launches with ease. It is one of those planes you take when you want a hassle free, fun, easy flying EDF that has no bad tendencies. Saying that, I do miss the rudder but don't let that put you off. As a "Toss it and boss it" it is hard to beat.

Best sport EDF jet to come along for first time EDF jet pilots. This plane is best suited for formation tail chasing with 6 or more cats in the air at the same time!

This plane is FAST, so if you want to buy one make sure you have the room for it. Also i would recommend putting a flight stabilizer or gyro of some sort in it, as i had difficulty trying to turn or land at slow speeds, the addition of an ORX gyro from the p-51 moonbeam mcswine massively improved flight characteristics; it now flies like it's on rails.
However, i do have some gripes... for a start the lack of spare parts is really annoying, the nose cone on this is quite flimsy and will shatter even on a rough landing, let alone a crash. I was very lucky because in my case i own a 3d printer and by mere chance someone had made a model of a replacement nosecone for this on thingiverse.com.
Also, and this is important, THE CG IN THE MANUAL IS WRONG. It claims to be 510mm back from the tip of the nose, but i found the plane to be almost unflyably tail heavy with this setup, best results for me were between 495 - 500mm from the nose; it seems the cg is absolutely crucial on this plane.
Centre of thrust is off from the centre of lift, so you do need to mix some up elevator into your throttle, i use about 4% and it works well for me along with quite significant exponential rates on the ailerons, around 50%
Overall it's a very good plane once set up, but do not expect to just chuck it in the air and go, it requires a good deal of fine tuning before maiden flight.

This thing is super cool

This thing is super fast and super cool. This is the second FLYCAT that I have owned. The first one was done in by a bad hand toss, but the second one I have put retracts on from a viper and WOW is this thing cool. Easier take-off and landings with no driving it into the dirt. It is so fast I love to fly next to the expressway and pass the vehicles with the FLYCAT. So this thing has to go faster than 70 MPH to pass the cars on the freeway. Fast and Cool! I added retracts to make it Super-Fast and Super-Cool! It was easy to work on (add retracts) due to the quality of the foam, and its strong, durable construction. Overall I would say I have had the most fun with this since I learned to fly! Thank you, Hobby King!
