I fly an HK-T500 helicopter for about one year and now I put it on an EC-135 fuselage. Two weeks ago a strange noise was comming out of the main gears. As I could not be able to understand which was the cause of the noise I desided to disassembly the helicopter from the fuselage , assembly it again as a pod and boom and then I saw that when the main gears were turned the tail drive gear assembly was loosing some turns. The main gears and the tail gear assembly are not completly cylindrical but lightly oval. After one year of working the tail drive gear must had been weared a little and durring turning , the teeth of the two oval gears were turned aside for a while and then back again. I was lucky enough because if the tail drive gear had loose its teeth the tail rotor would have stopped and I would have cruched the helicopter loosing the EC-135 fuselage too. I replaced this tail drive gear assembly with a new one from the HK500-GT and now everything is okay. So be careful. IF YOU HEAR strange noises between the main and the tail drive gear it is possible that the tail gear have been weared a little. REPLACED it at once , or you would lost your helicopter. {The wear of my tail gear was not visible and if the gear was cylindrical and not lightly oval I would haven't had any problem}.

I wrote this to inform anyone of you that have and fly this helicopter about this problem

Used it on HK500GT and performing very well, seems to be more fluid than the original HK-500GT Metal Tail Drive Gear set (Align part # H50043)

this is really cheap price . i dont a 500 size heli but my friend does and he needed one of these tail thingy since i needed something from hobbyking so i told him ill just get it for him .. since hobbyking got the LOWEST PRICE guaranteed ! yay

Tevreden voor deze prijs. De GT heeft metalen riemaandrijving, maar meestal begeeft het tandwiel zelf.
