Started off well, then after about 5 minutes use on a flat wooden floor in a Micro T the top came off the motor and it was wobbling around only held on by the magnet and pinion gear. There was hardly any glue holding it on so it may have just been my bad luck, I have pushed it back on but there is something wrong now and it is cogging all the time. Very poorly made compared to the Turnigy ones.

This is not a 3 cell lipo motor. My advice is to use it with max 2 cell lipo. I would even say only use it in combination with a 1 cell lipo if you want a reasonable lifetime. I made efficiency and temperature comparison benchmarks you can find them on "foamcopter.blogspot.be". The 8.5 max current rating is when using this motor with 1 cell lipo. Never draw 8.5 amps on 2 or 3 cell lipo it will burn your motor instantly.

I bought 4 of this motor to make small quad with 3x2 inch props.
With a 2 cell lipo this motor with this prop will give 170 grams of thrust.
But the motor gets extreme hot after just a few seconds.

At 100 grams of thrust the motor consumes 36 watt on a 2 cell lipo. The motor gets warm. If you demand more thrust and increase the power it will get hot after a few seconds and you can be sure it will burnout.

Great motor, runns smoothly, great power, GWS 3030 on 3s 350mAh with Turnigy Plush 10A ... getting a bit hot, full throttle for longer time is not recommendet, but it has power as it comes out of hell ... perfekt for micro speed models like a MiniWing or the little Nemesis (span 450 mm) from Graupner ...

Ich konnte ihn nur kurz in der Hand testen,
aber an 3s 2200 dreht er eine 3x3 GWS vergleichbar mit dem guten alten Feigao mit 5300U/V.
Nach 2-3 Sekunden Vollgas wurde der Motor zwar warm - ich konnte ihn aber immer noch zwischen den Fingern halten.
