This was a great kit for a bored person to build to kill time.
Painted mine with PVA wood glue (brushed thin) and it gave it a stronger bonding skin.
Great fun to fly and the kids have fun with it.

Ok, so the HK 2018 black Friday event was going on and I saw this aircraft on sale at a real good price. I had been hesitating to get a foam-board aircraft but at the low black Friday price I was enticed to take a chance and I did. I was surprised to find the foam-board material to be of good quality with a quality embedded color print design and not the cheap foam-board you may think it may be. It's definitely not like what you will find at a Dollar Tree store. The foam is stiff enough yet has some flex. The overall quality of the kit is great and the hardware package is complete. Also includes an instruction manual. This should be a good flyer, once I have everything put together, and it has a good size for the visibility you need in the air. By the way; assembly looks pretty straight forward. Just make sure you dry fit the parts before committing to gluing. Hot glue or any foam safe glue will work.

Cute Little Plane

Yes, it's cute. I agree with most other reviewers' opinions. Best if kept light. Depron is generally fragile so expect to make a few logical reinforcements to weak areas. I made a tab and magnet latch for the canopy. Never been a fan of sticks and rubber bands. Also adhered a thin plastic skid plate to the bottom to keep it from getting rashed up during landing.
While these kits are advertised as being assembled with hot glue I've never been a fan because of the added weight and stringy mess. Foam-safe CA is what I prefer on Depron and can produce a much cleaner build than hot glue although hot glue does work well for holding in servos. Either way isn't right or wrong. It's just preference.
What's considered "fast" for this plane is subjective. Just keep in mind it's Depron and will require stiffening to keep the wings from warping out of shape at higher speeds. But if you expect it to just be a fun little, cheap cruise-around plane and keep it light then you definitely won't be disappointed.

I spent time money and effort building this to find no mention of centre of gravity. Quite how if your business is selling planes you can still sell things with information missing is just a mystery ,its not as if it’s not important !.....well guess what the things half wrecked trying to find it so thanks for that..I would same the rest of you the pain and tell you it’s 20mm in front of spar......wasn’t hard was it Hobbyking!

Fantastic kit with nicely finished parts and a good price

I bought this plane to try something different and I’m having a lot of fun with it. The kit is quite complete with the quality of materials I would expect and the price is nice too. The construction is quick but be sure to understand how the all part go together before glueing: the manual is misleading.
Built it with AXN Floater’s motor (2208 2150kv – lots of push), using a 6x4 prop, a 30A ESC and 1300mAh 3S batt.
The maiden was a mixed experience: the first three flights were a disaster because the CG was wrong. The plane survived and I could fly it, with the CG at about 20mm of the main spar. In the air is very beautiful and behaves as expected. Flies fast only if you push it, can also fly quite slowly. It has a quite fast roll rate but I think that the canard reduces the elevon’s authority in loops.
In summary: recommended if you’re looking for a fun kit to build and a nice flyer with some punch.
Pros:
Fun to build.
Very complete kit.
Beautiful in the air, flies like on rails.
Cons:
The position of the CG is not indicated anywhere and it’s difficult to find. The first three flight were a disaster for this reason because the flight characteristics are very sensitive to the position of the CG.
The manual is misleading.
The decoration peels off very easily if adhesive tape is used.
