Took me while to get the CG right on this, but now it flies really well & is currently my favorite plane. It's got plenty of speed, great flight characteristics, not floaty, a bit sensitive for beginners, but no nasty tip stall - just lots of sheer warbird fun. It's a lovely detailed model & pretty sturdy too - I had several hard nose landings due to my initially poor CG settings, but it has taken them well. Best to launch overarm & don't use too much throttle on takeoff as some say there's high torque roll. The supplied props are chocolate, I'm currently using a 7x6 on a prop saver.

Tolles Modell. Sehr schne Details. Fliegt fantastisch mit Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__38085__Turnigy_800mAh_2S_20C_Lipo_Pack_EU_warehouse_.html) und dem in der Anleitung genannten C und passendem Gewicht in der Nase. Man muss nur auf die Hhenruderausschlge achten, bei mir reichen plus-4mm vollkommen aus. Am Servo ganz innen eingehngt und an den Ruderhrnern in der Mitte (Wie in der Anleitung) Man sollte die Gestnge evtl noch etwas biegen/modifizieren, damit sie leichtgngig in den Rohren laufen. 3S Lipo hab ich noch nicht getestet

I have this model get yesterday. The first impression was very good, good packaging and very highly detailed model. During assembly, unfortunately I had to find that the elevator had a small crack. This I fixed with some glue. Therefore, for the quality only 4 crowns. Built-in I have the OrangeRX RX3S 3-Axis Flight Stabilizer DSM2 receiver. This fits neatly into the body of the Me Only the cockpit I had to cut slightly due to the servo connector. When the battery Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack is in use. The flight characteristics of this model are surprisingly good. The statement that the propeller breaks on landing, I can not confirm. My landings on grass and asphalt, he has survived without any problems. The landing should be only very slowly, which is absolutely no problem with the Me 109.

Ich habe dieses Modell Gestern bekommen. Der erste Eindruck war sehr gut, gute Verpackung und sehr detailreiches Modell. Beim Zusammenbau musste ich leider feststellen, dass das Hhenruder einen kleinen Knacks hatte. Diesen habe ich mit etwas Kleber repariert. Deshalb fr die Qualitt nur 4 Kronen. Eingebaut habe ich den OrangeRX RX3S 3-Axis Flight Stabilizer DSM2 Empfnger. Dieser passt genau in den Rumpf der Me. Nur das Cockpit musste ich wegen der Servostecker etwas aufschneiden. Als Akku ist der Turnigy 800mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack im Einsatz. Die Flugeigenschaften dieses Modells sind berraschend gut. Die Aussage, dass der Propeller bei der Landung bricht, kann ich nicht besttigen. Meine Landungen auf Wiese und Asphalt hat er problemlos berstanden. Die Landung sollte nur sehr langsam sein, was bei der Me 109 absolut kein Problem ist. I have this model get yesterday. If you order this Me-109 you'll not believe how it flies. I've recently modified it, I installed a 3.7g servo in the rudder and it works good for me as a pilon trainer. Metal hinges in ailerons and elevator and general strong structure, it flies really like a devil, NOT FOR BEGGINERS. Nice size to carry in your trunk in your hollidays. I'M HAPPY WITH THIS JERRY!!!

Lovely scale looks for such a small model and flies well. I do miss a rudder control now and then, but the sacrifice for the weight saving (and cost) was worth it. looks really good in the air and is a nice nippy park flyer! I doubt it will cope with strong winds, but in the 8-9mph winds I flew it performed well.
I used the nanotech 900mAh 2s with this and got easily 6min flight times at 3/4 - full throttle, with a little reserve.
Down sides - elevator servo didn't work (annoying and delayed maiden!)
- elevator was cracked out the box and the edges were a little bent.

Plus sides - scale looks!
- simplicity
- value!

A great little model to throw in the car and to zoom around the field without worrying too much about the costs if things go wrong!!

This plane is fantastic , not only does it go together fast it also makes a great scale model for your hanger , there are a few things that need mentioning in the manual , such as putting your throttle setting on a computer radio to 125pcnt to make the esc work as its made for a general 4ch system.

cant wait to get out and fly this one on a calm day , streamer wars will be ace against a spitty , and hobbyking , please make us an epo version!

BF109 arrived today in mint condition, no damage at all. assembly is just finished, maiden will follow asap, but the weather is bad in Holland. This one is going to replace the heavily (crash) damaged specimen of my brother in law. Plane flies very good, albeit a bit twitchy on the elevator. lower the rates or use expo on the elevator. I maximized the aileron travels (as I did with my 650mm spitty). Also, don't forget to reglue the balanceweight in the nose, these are loose in the box (round metal piece) - I used some UHU por. Very nice plane!!

This cute little ME109 is my first HobbyKing-Model after buying loads of motors, ESC, LiPos, etc. from HK.
I must say: Awesome!
Scale looks, paintwork, control surfaces, everything is really, really nice!

The model would for sure fly well with the stock setup (3-blade prop and 2S) but I modified it right away, because of the danger of breaking the 3-blade prop with belly landings. Furthermore, I wanted to use my army of 3S 800mAh-LiPos I've already got.

So here are my modifications:
1) Increase battery compartment by carving away loads of foam until the 3S 800mAh-Lipo fits in - no big problem.
2) Open the fake air inlet hood in the yellow nose part to make it a real cooling air inlet for the ESC.
3) Drill a 8mm-hole in the bottom-back-part of the fuselage as cooling air outlet.
4) Replace 3-blade prop by 2-blade prop 6x5
5) Carve a new ME109-spinner for 2-blade prop out of foam.

==> SHE FLEW LIKE AN ANGEL - RIGHT AWAY!!!
