i really DONT like this chassis. the materials are ok but the external gear, is loose and noisy.
Pros:
good materials, soldering board.
Cons:
for additional $1 , you can get the more mature platform with the bigger wheels, and 90 degrees internal gear sleeve. which also includes the encoding wheel at the motor side and the slot for it on the body

I can't speak for others, but my kit is perfect. Easy to build, well engineered, a splendid base for my planned arduino killer robot and without a doubt: superb value for money. The only thing I don't quite understand is the motor rating: they are described as 3V, they are powered by 4x1.5=6V and I have seen the same motor used with 1.5V.... can anybody out there enlighten me?

The quality is good. It took me 10-15 minutes to assemble the chassis. The process was rather straightforward. The only disappointment was the rubber wheels quality - I need to cut debur.
The motor working current (with load) is about 60-70mA (4v)
The stall current is about 400mA at 1S LiPo (4v)
