I use these as pushrod sleeves, the outer has a diam. of 3mm and the inner about 2mm and can be used with pusrods less than 2mm thick and about 1mm respectively.

serious waste of money. They are too sticky and too thin inside to screw anything in. they are just round tubes inside round tubes. wasted my money and had to pay extra weight for bigger box.

These flex pushrods are like the goldenrod series. Makes it really nice when multiple curves are required. The inner rod and outer sleeve are both plastic. Great for making scale, moving cowl flaps..

Out of the 4 that I received, I only have 1 that is a little tight. The other 3 seem to work just fine, though I would be careful not to put too sharp of a bend into them.

The one that is stiff, i'm hoping that it "wears in" with some use.

These will work, but in the future I think I will stick to conventional steel-in-plastic versions. They don't seem to have the same friction issues that these do.

I have ordered and received this set of soft push rod (snakes), which are described as D3x1150mm, Product ID: 017000016.

Be sure to note that HK sells two sets of these plastic in plastic soft push rod snakes. The only apparent difference (from the product descriptions) is that this one is 1150mm long and the other one, Product ID: 017000017, is listed as 1000mm long, yet the longer one (this one) is cheaper!

I have given the outer diameters of the two tubes for this one below but I suspect that the D3 specification is wrong for one or both of the sets. My measurements were with the HK digital vernier caliper:

outer (blue) diameter: 3.3-3.5mm

inner (white) diameter: 1.8-2.1mm

Sorry, I can't accurately measure the inner diameters of the tubing.

I'm giving it 3 stars overall since I have not yet used these in a plane.

Far FAR too stiff to be useful. The idea (I think) is that the inner plastic rod is your control rod and it travels back and forth inside the outter plastic tube, which you affix to the frame however you see fit, correct? That's all fine in theory, except there is SO much friction between the two that there's no way a servo can move it. I can barely move it! pulling with a lot of strength barely moves the inner rod. And the whole point of having it be flexible is to go around curves, but even slight bends (and I mean SLIGHT) causes even more friction. At least the ones that I got... completely useless. Perhaps if I lubricate it - not sure what's used to lube plastic on plastic.
